General How is Cydia holding up?

Like I said on the other page, his repo fix involved updating the DNS entries. You're probably still using the old (slow) ones instead of the new (faster) ones because your ISP cached the DNS result. If it's an option, hop onto another network (home network to cellular, for example). Otherwise, all you can do is wait.

I am using a cell network. I rebooted my device and was able to install one app but not another. Still, it appears you weren't full of excrement after all.

Most of the problems seem to be with the BigBoss repo. It does seem to be working, but it is very slow. Some things people have tried is to remove the BigBoss repo from the cydia sources page, and then re-add it.

You probably already figured it out by now, but all you have to do is hold down Home and Power and it will reboot properly. Mine did this as well when installing Winterboard.

i went from wifi, to LTE, back and forth twice, still no go on Sauriks Repo :(

That will happen. If you're trying to download something, just keep at it until the request goes through. For instance I had to attempt to install iFile seven or eight times before it downloaded all the way.
 
Gonna be lots of 500 Internal Server Errors, hash mismatches, incomplete downloads and everything else until things settle down. Happens every jailbreak release day.

I feel sorry for the admins of those poor servers. They are sitting in a smoking heap of overload right now and there is nothing they can do about it.
