Bootup Time Speeded

Previously it was taking 1 minute 30 seconds to boot. now It took just 30 Secs. overall new ringtones are good . and Wallpapers are attractive. let's see how battery works.

No problems here. Clean install. Nice improvements overall from the last time I used it, which was Beta 2.

Love the new ringtones and alerts and wallpapers.

iPad 3 pinch to home screen still lag a bit, changing wallpaper take sometime, English keyboard is perfect smooth however Chinese keyboard still lags sometimes. Multitasking card-view is fast, but sometime take a second to let me flick through all apps. Animation still seems slow. And still 9 apps per page in folder.

I feel iOS 7 need more work on iPad. iPhone however is ready

Very disappointing to see this and lots of similar comments on here about the iPad 3 today. How can they allow it to be that bad, the iPad 3 is barely 18 months old and lets face it, if they hadn't opted to refresh it 7 months after it was released just to include the new connector then this model would have only just been replaced a few months back. I'm still going to upgrade mine when I get home this evening, hopefully it won't be too bad. I'm peeved to hear its so shocking on the iPad tho, guess they were too busy worrying about getting it right for the iPhone 5S/5C.

Having a problem with sounds - for some reason, my email is still triggering the older sound, not the new one I had selected. It has finished restoring, all apps downloaded, have rebooted the phone a few times, and have also tried selecting different "new" sounds, but none of the ones I pick for email make any difference. For calls, texts, and everything else, the new sound selections work just fine (and are GREAT!)

Ideas? Anyone having similar issues??

On my 4S it's fine. Did a clean install and setup as new after beta 6

Updated an iPhone 4 and tbh it's running quite smooth on that too. YMMV.

It is as smooth as butter on my iPhone 5. I've had a couple of very minor bugs, but I remember minor bugs on the GM of iOS 6 on my 4S. Overall I'm pleased.

I'm going to install it on my spare iPhone 4 later and see how that fares.

Did a clean install on my 4S, overall I am very pleased. Feels stable and is running smoothly. A little disappointed by some of the animations, but not a huge deal. Photos app did crash once, but I was syncing pictures (maybe the reason?)

The parallax effect is still very choppy...

Nothing like they showed with the asian lady and her child background.

Overall well. I had the settings app crash twice and 2 other 3rd party apps, but they are not updated for iOS 7 yet. My battery seems pretty good so far also. I am loving iOS 7.

that's because a the A6 CPU is doing all the calculations for your accelerometer, gyro and compass movements. These iOS 7 effects were built with the M7 coprocessor in mind! (that's why you want to run iOS 7 on iPhone 5S)

Downgrading

I have an iPhone 4 (on beta 6). I am contemplating installing the GM, but I want to know if its possible to downgrade from GM to 6?

On the iPad Mini, I noticed one bug where settings will disappear or crash while changing settings. Other than that, it seems fine.

The iPhone 5 is running flawless.

All this after a clean install on both with no data restores.

I'm new to MacRumors, coming over from the Android side of things. Enjoyed flashing roms & such, but I decided to give iPhone's & iOS in general a chance.

Now to answer the question, iOS 7 GM is running on my iPhone 5 flawlessly. Flashed last night, turned it off/back on. Phone has been running great, very fast, menus are going fast, very responsive. Ringtones are better, just an overall great experience so far. I'm ready for developers to optimize their apps for iOS 7 though, I have a music player that crashes because of it. Besides that, it is working great for me so far.

They probably should've left it out of the build for the 5 then...

I did an upgrade from 6.1.3 to the 7 GM on my iPhone 4S (couldn't do a restore since I have Windows and thus don't have access to iTunes 11.1. It seems to run pretty well. The only issues I have had are with some apps crashing, but that hopefully will be fixed when the developers release iOS 7 compatible versions of their apps. Battery drain seems more than normal, but hopefully that will sort itself out with app updates etc... Safari downloading web pages seems a bit slower for some reason (I have been using it on Wi-Fi with a 25-30Mbps connection). No bugs that would be considered a show stopper so far.

I installed iOS 7 GM and restored from an iOS 6 backup, because I had voice memos that I wanted to keep on the phone and not only on my MBP. Afterwords, I completely reset all the settings via the General settings. Is there a way to sync old voice memos into a phone and it actually show up in the voice memos app?

Anyways, iOS 7 is running extremely smooth. No problems at all. Battery seems to be equivalent to iOS 6. I like all the new features, but I'm not sure about how I feel about the iOS 7 theme, though... Still seems...foreign...

Mate, they done more than "just add a new connector". The A6X destroys the A5X in terms of raw performance power. While Geekbench scores measure potential, a difference of 1000 points isn't to be taken lightly.

As you rightly say though, the performence on iPad models in general when it comes to iOS 7 is concerning. It's certainly not 100% optimised but hopefully 7.0.1 will address that.
