i have a 38mm sports model and my battery goes after 15hours and 30minutes in power save mode. Normal use.

Anybody else this short?

How long does a 42mm Holding up?
The 42 has a bigger battery and theoretically should last longer. If you've just recently gotten yours it should get better. You might want to shut it down, start it and put it on the charger. My wife has a 38 and the first day or so I noticed that her remaining charge was significantly less than mine but it has since improved.

Two things you can also do that improved the battery time on mine is enable Reduce Transparency, that will make everything easier to read as well, and Reduce Motion, that won't improve legibility but one of the tech reviewers said that it improved battery life. The Reduce Transparency made a noticeable difference on mine and I have enabled it on my wife's.

Mine is awesome. At the end of the day i'm usually around 60% that is wearing it from 630am-11pm each day. Normal use, I check messages with it, time, etc.

Having my watch for almost a month, I've charged my watch once a week!!!. Not on power reserve. I reply to texts, phone calls, read emails. I don't use apps, only look at glances. Love it!

Wore my 42mm SS to bed last night when it was fully charged - woke with 94% left and did a 90minute workout and was walking around shopping and hauling as well. It's now noon and my battery is at 70% - usage shows 3 hours and standby is 12 hours 33 minutes. The battery has been great for me.

I read somewhere that lithium batteries do not do as well if they are left on the charger continuously (as in all night long) after they reach full charge. What to do all think? The article says this will degrade the battery faster than if it is taken off the charger relatively soon after reaching full charge.

I thought this was the case but I also know that apparently Apple has it set up to stop charging once the battery is full.

I keep mine on the charger all day long. Use it maybe three times a week. I keep it charging though and have yet to have any problems. Fingers crossed. I love my watch. I'd wear it everyday but can't wear any wearables at work and I'm on 12 hour shifts. That's the reason why I don't wear it very often.

Why buy it if you rarely use it? Guess you have your reasons....
