I went from the 4 to a 6S, and I have no issues with the larger size. I think I would have a bit more difficulty with the plus size.

I switched to a 6+ long ago from an older Android model. There wasn't much difference so it didn't take much getting used to.

I think it's mostly a matter of treating as what it is. You can't handle an iPhone 4 the same way you have to handle a 6S Plus. You shouldn't expect to. I prefer true one handed operation like I can do on my iPhone 6, but I'm really appreciating what my 6S Plus has to offer.

Getting the right case is a big part of it too. I love the naked Plus, but I will drop it eventually. Wrap it in some clear TPU and it becomes a super grippy object that also slips in an out of my pocket with ease.

i went from a 6+ to 6s and still trying to get use to the smaller size

kinda missing the larger screen and battery life =/

went from 5s to 6s - don't think I ever really noticed the size difference other than it sticks out of my pocket more than old phone.

It took me 10 months to get used to the size of my 6+, but then I went out and bought a 6S+. From that point on the size felt normal.

It's ironic that people with small hands may actually adapt to a 6+ from a 6 more easily than people with big hands. I have truly giant hands, I'm 6'8, size 17 feet with hands to match, yet I'm finding it difficult to go from a 6 to a + because I used the 6 almost exclusively one handed with no shifting needed, but the + is just too big to use as a 1 handed phone. People with smaller hands probably used 2 hands on the 6 anyway, so going to a + isn't a huge change.

Man I so know where you are coming from. I am 6'7 and also have oven mitts for hands. I found that the 6/6S fits my hand the way I imagine the 5/5S fits most others. Because of this, I didn't have to change my phone use at all with the 6/6S. I can hold the phones one handed, in the pinky cradle position. and reach all four corners easily with my thumb. No need to use reachability, no shifting in hand, no thought process around navigating. I actually think the phone looks small in my hand.
But on the flip, while the Plus looks better in my hand and more applicable to my size, I simply cannot reach that top left corner with my thumb in the pinky cradle. Given that all back buttons are located there, the new return to previous app link is there, etc.....I would have to constantly either shift the phone in hand, or think about whether to try and swipe back, invoke reachability, etc. That is a deal breaker for me. I value easy, mindless one handed used over screen size, OIS, or larger battery....so I am using the 6S.

Took me all of one week to get used to the size of the 6 Plus last year. After that I knew that I could never go back to the 4.7" again, although I do admit to missing how that size fits in a pocket. I got the Sim Free 6S Plus this year and couldn't be happier with it. Big size and all. :)

i'm going for the 6s because 6s plus is way too big. i wish i could test drive both phones first but in my country we simply can't try and return it back like u guys do in the US
You know, sometimes I wish Apple would have that policy here in the US. This would keep people from abusing return policy here. Especially those who keep returning their brand new iPhones for no other reason than not getting the Chip that they wanted or because it had a tiny spot on the screen.

I went from a 5 to a 6s plus and it took about two weeks to get used to it. The size wasn't as big of a deal that I thought it was gonna be.

I went from the 5s to the 6s+, and it took me a few weeks to get decently comfortable with it. My eyes love it but my hands still yearn for the 6s-regular size. I'm a huge proponent of complete one-handed operation.

At least the pocketability isn't too bad, with the clothes that I have.

This about sums me up. The smaller phone is far more convenient on the go, but in every other instance it's nice to have the bigger screen real estate. That outweighs the convenience for me personally.

Its strange. I loved the 5. I had it for three years and loved every second of owning it.

I tried the 6 and hated it. Thought it was too big and awkward. Couldn't use it one handed and lasted a week before j went back to the 5 with a sigh of relief. I never liked big phones and thought I'd be stuck with the 5 u too I packed up.

I got the 6s almost two weeks ago and just instantly loved it. Yes it's not as easy to use one handed but I remember the 6 being a lot more annoying in that department.

I don't know. I think I was holding out hope that Apple would release an updated 4" screen this year.

I can't say for sure that if Apple released a 4" phone next year that I wouldn't grab it because to be honest the larger screen is nice but not the be all and end all for me.

Right now I'm just enjoying having a new iPhone.

It took about 2 weeks for me to get used to my 6S+ coming from a 5S. The first week was awful to the point where I tried to return my 6S+ but it was scratched a tiny bit on the top so the Apple Store wouldn't take it back (and I'm now glad they didn't). I forced myself to use it and after about a week I was ok, but didn't love it. After another week I started to love it. The battery life is superb, and the performance is magical. Now I think it's the perfect size, except, rather ironically, for phone calls where it feels a tiny bit too large. But that's fine, I don't call people very much any more, usually it's texting or some other messaging app.

I went from a 4S to a 6S+, and honestly, I adjusted completely in a few hours. I have fairly big hands, so the size wasn't a burden for me whatsoever.

That's my feeling too! Strangely when I make a call I feel a bit like I've got a slab on the side of my face whereas before with the 5 it felt like a phone.

I upgraded couple weeks ago to the 6s from a 5s, It took me like a day to get used to it, but now I seem to have slight palm pain in both hands. What about you?
Approx. 2 seconds, but that is only a wild guess.

The larger iPhone was the main reason i got back to the iPhone family. Smaller than 4,5" and i would still use Android.

I went from an iPhone 5 to a 6 then eventually to a 6 Plus and now even my company phone, which is a 6s, is too small for me…which gives me good reason to keep my personal Plus.

In terms of how long it took to adjust, I would say about 3 months. But now that I'm used to it, I can't go back to a smaller device. This is the perfect sized device for me and I am a female. I would just give it time, you will learn to love it.

Took me about a week to get used to the larger screen of the 6 after having the 3G, 4, 4s, and 5s before. At the start I found I was shuffling the 6 up and down in my hand a lot, but after some simple grip adjustments it was fine.

When I use any of the 5 series phones now I can't believe how much smaller they are. I'm never going back to a smaller screen, and I can comfortably use the 6 one handed without any need for Reachability.

The part in bold makes no sense. The 6 and 6s have the exact same design.

I don't understand how you hated the 6 but loved the 6s, they are both the same size. Lol

Well the 6 was slightly thinner. But you're right of course. And if I had a rational explanation for it I would give that explanation.

Truth is I don't. I disliked the 6. Found it hard to use and too big. Yet I instantly loved the 6s.

Maybe it was because I was hoping Apple would update their 4" range and now have accepted the fact that isn't going to be happening anytime soon.
