Wow I thought I had it good. I went to best buy about 3:00 and walked out about 5:30 after browsing through the third party cases first.

Good job. My wife's been in line at the local Apple store since noon and there's about 250 or so in front of her and 300+ behind her lol.

4 1/2 hours start to finish. Boca Raton Aaple store. About 70 - 80 folks in front of me.

No wait, I was 2nd in line.

So what ?

nothing i like reading the stories the day before launch about how people are just gonna stroll into their local store around 4:30 and be able to pick one up talking about they are not going to be sold out like people think they are and then they do get sold out everywhere i dont see those people post anymore

e.g. iphone4, now ipad2

5 hours, 30th in line, got the 3G GSM 64GB White as planned. :D

4.5 hours, about 80 back in line, got my 16GB wifi black. I just heard they sold out around 7:00. This was at Willow Bend mall in Dallas

I got in the line outside So Salt Lake bestbuy @ about 4:20, was about one of the last 5-8 people that got one. Took longer to check out than I stood in line. About 100 minutes total experience. Wanted a 32 wifi, only had 16 left. I think I'll be happy (esp since I have $110 more dollars in my bank account than I planned on spending)

I waited for 30 minutes at ATT store. I got a 32gb black.

That was pretty much my experience. I had some homework to do so I sat othe floor and did it. Now I am busy playing with my iPad.

Walked into Target at 4:53pm... walked out, with black 64GB iPad 2, at 5:03pm. The security guard and cashier were disappointed, they wanted lines and excitement. I wasn't.

I put off ordering on-line and "rolled the dice" by swinging by Walmart at 4:45pm. If the line was long, I'd bail and order on line.

I was pleasantly surprised to see only 10 to 15 people - oddly enough all were over the age of 50!!! I was the youngest in line (and Im 44!).

4.5 hours from arrival until store opened at 5. Took about another 30 min. after store opened until I got in. Purchase completed by 5:45.

About 2 hours at Best Buy - 4 to 6 pm. Tickets at 4:30, in at 5, but then a pretty slow process to get us our iPads and out the door. I'm on my new one now, though, so I can't complain. Maybe 50th in line.
