I didn't wait at all. My cousins works at the apple store. Ushered me through the side door. Went upstairs paid for my 2 16gb wifi iPads (black) wanted white but oh well. Got 2 grey smart covers and walked out. In the store at 6:45 out by 7:00pm

I waited about 4 1/2 hours and was 40th in line at the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC. I was out the door and back in my truck by 5:30 with my 32GB Wi-Fi white iPad 2!

Five hour wait to get a 64 gig Verizon in black with the product red smart cover. Was planning on getting ATT data, but they were out of 64/ATT versions. No big deal. Verizon's data is fine. I use mine in my wi-fi network 90% of the time anyway. Got in line at 3:15 and walked out of the store at 8:15 with the iPad. When I left there were probably about 100 people left in line behind me. There had been three times that many but the line dwindled as the various versions sold out. Judging by what they were telling people there were probably enough iPads left for about 1/2 of the remaining people in line.

Got to m local best buy at 4, walked out at 5 with a 16gb white. I was number nine in line. They had 5 32gb black and 5 16gb white wifi only. My local best buy was only letting one per household be sold

Went to Best Buy at 3:00 PM, 4th person in line. 5 iPad available at my local Best Buy which was only 5 White iPad 16gb Wi-Fi. Got out at 5:15 PM.. so roughly 2 hour wait time.

4.5 hours, about 80 back in line, got my 16GB wifi black. I just heard they sold out around 7:00. This was at Willow Bend mall in Dallas

I waited just about six hours. I got there around 11:20 in the afternoon and was somewhere around 30-40 in line. I too was at the Willow Bend mall in Plano Texas.

It was actually a good experience as I was lucky enough to be in line around a few other guys who were cool. The 5-6 hours went by pretty quick.

Walked into Walmart about 7:30 and walked out with a 16gb wifi with no lines. Target had 4 64gb wifi about 8pm with no line.

This was my story too. Walked in after work at six, walked up to the electronics counter and asked for one. The guy called the girl who was already in the stock room getting two for two other people. The whole thing would have taken 5 minutes but I had to pay with two cards because my wife had been shopping with her debit card and guess my bank has a limit per day. so it took 6 minutes.

I live in rather small town though.

I waited at Best Buy for about 5 hours, got the iPad I wanted and was out of the store by about 6. I also activated my 3G while waiting for my brother to get his... He was about 30 behind me in line and he didn't get there until nearly 4.

I walked into the line at about 3:15, I was about number 120 in line with about 200 behind me. I got my iPad no problem, walked out of the store at about 5:40 and walked past the 200 or so people behind with a big grin my face.

I lucked out because I was supposed to be at work, but I'd been sorta sick and my boss told me not to work because she didn't want her kids to get my cold (I'm a nanny). Otherwise I probably wouldn't have my fancy new gadget.

In line at a Best Buy near me at around 4:00. Walked out around 6:30 with my sexy beast.

Best Buy in Laurel, MD. Was browsing for a PS3 accessory and decided to hop in line at about 5:45. Took about 20 minutes. Got a 64GB White Wi-Fi only.

I called around to a couple stores at 330 everyone was huge lines or received no stock of iPad 2s then i was passing by walmart walked in they had 6, 2 of each wifi model hopped in line as number 4 waited 30mins til 5 walked out at 5:10 iPad in hand :) got to miss the whole apple line, couldnt have been a better day

As long as it took to ring them up -- no line at the T.

Two hours, start to finish. Got in line at 4pm at Best Buy, finished checking out at 6pm.

Best Buy Pasadena. Showed up at 3:30 and was 45th in line.

Went in at "groups of 10" at 5pm. I was out of there by 5:30pm.

Probably 150-200 people in line.

I was 10th in line out of a good 400+. Wrapped around the mall. I waited for about 7 hours. Even though I was 10th, I got the last 64GB Black AT&T. I was shocked, they had like 12 or 13 of them and the person in front of me grabbed two of them.

My older sister and brother-in-law wanted black but had to settle for white. I can't even imagine how many of the other 400 people wanted 64GB Black AT&T to wait in line and have to settle for something else.

9hrs. I was 7th in line, it way by really fast, chatting with the people that were just as excited as me. I walked out of the Apple store at 5:05pm. They were out of the 32gb ATT 3G by the 6th person, he had to get a 64gb.

I didn't wait 1 second in line. I went into the office in downtown San Francisco Walked into the Apple Store on the way home. The was no line outside. I assumed they were sold out. I went in only to play with one. I looked behind the checkout counter and there were tons of iPas 2's. I went up and asked the rep what models they had. She said they only had 32 or 64 black Verizon. I said I'll take one. She said, you have to wait outside in line. I said there was no line. She checked, verified I was right and rang me up.
