How Long in LANTAU ISLAND?

What's another $15-20 on a $829 machine? Beats the ultra-economical free shipping contracts that all the major companies (Apply, Amazon, the GAP, etc) have with their shipping companies!
On day 4, too.

It moves quickly once it leaves. Mine left Lantau on the 14th and and was delivered to me in Atlanta on the 15th around noon. Flew to Anchorage, then flew to Memphis, then flew to Atlanta and got on a delivery truck. I posted my full tracking history from the Yahoo fedex tracker on the first page of the thread.
Mine has been there for 4 days.
Seems like a decent place to hang out for a while.

That picture solves the mystery. Four free nights in a Hawaii like Island. No wonder they dont want to come home.
Four Full Days in Paradise
Glad someone is in paradise, cuz it isn't me. If only I could tell my iPad that I wanted to take it on vacation in paradise on the 26th.
My iPad has been sitting four full days on Lantau Island. And look a new scan and we are still in Lantau.....great surprise.

Lantau Island is actually iPad2 Purgatory. They must remain there until all their future sins are atoned for.
Lantau Island is where the Hong Kong Airport is located.

FedEx doesn't work on weekend, so it got stuck at the airport for the whole weekend.

so I called Fedex. Sure enough, these are all marked "Economy". Apple must have negotiated a deal in bulk to ship all ipads (in the first month or something) as economy shipping. This is why they sit in HK - they only go out as there is space on the planes which are filled with higher priority shipments. Why else would Apple do this?

Fast and free, I got the free part as in I paid nothing for shipping and that's exactly what I have received as well, nothing. Would've gladly paid $20 to ensure the dang thing shipped and was expedited in a timely manner.
I am guessing they slapped a bunch of fedex labels on empty shipping boxes, marked our orders as shipped, and are waiting to stuff our freshly minted, glue oozing, lightly bleeding, magical devices into them, seal them up and then actually ship them.

Woohoo! Mine's off the island - no obvious departure scan or anything. It just popped up in Memphis as of 9:26pm, CDT! Maybe they will make it by the 23rd as promised!
