How long should it take to process the 3G S activation request?

quick for me!

I got the phone 10 minutes ago, plugged it in, and like 4 minutes later activated!

Apple said it could take up to 48 hours =(

The chances are high that 90%+ will be activated by the end of the workday today

Maybe a few will have the extreme problems but I seriously doubt 99% will be waiting 48 hours

Just plugged my iphone into my old computer instead of my brand new one and it activated the phone in under a minute. so if you have another computer around that has itunes on it try that...hope this helps

This process DOES work (or at least it did for me). Just plug it into a different computer and see if it works instead.

Wow I waited so long to get my phone, I didn't even think about having to wait for it to get activated... this is really annoying AT&T!!! They mess up everything

The thing that frustrates me the most is i've been waiting 4 hours, and people who just got theirs somehow activate them right away. I guess it could be location based. Oh well. Minorly frustrated.
