How long until the MBP is in stock in stores

Edmonton store in Canada said they would most likely get them in early November.. wtf? I am going to keep calling to see if they get there shipments in today..
 
Just picked mine up. When I first asked they said they ont have the new ones in and then I showed them how apple.com said they were available for pickup at which point the worker called someone else over to go check in the back and lo behold!

Yeah, early November seems like total BS.

Anyone have any luck in Toronto? Eaton Centre said tomorrow and Yorkdale was completely clueless.
 
Ok so finally picked mine up at best buy. They will tell you they can't sell them yet, talk to the manager and show him/her the website where it says the release date. They have some confusion because their current status is "preorder" even though it's officially out. Good luck everyone. Cheers.

Just secured one at The Grove Apple Store via store pickup, 15" retina with discrete graphics!

Call 1800 MY APPLE, my online pickup option said available Oct 30 but I called and was able to reserve one for pickup today at my closest store.

Headed down now to pick it up! Looks like LA is stocked up so go get em!
 
Bought a 13" rMBP today (mid-range model) at the Christiana Mall Apple store in Newark, DE.

They have them in stock but none yet on the floor.

Usually you can buy them in the store before you can pick up online orders in store.

I ordered yesterday online and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra $14 for expedited shipping. Apple overestimated the shipping time when I ordered and said 10/29.
 
Called my local Best Buy, the worker claimed they have all the models in the store but can't be sold till a certain date. She told me the system shows as "pre-order". Said they won't be selling them till Nov. 1. That's weird, since Apple is already selling them.

What'd you tell them? Called my local Best Buy and they claimed that they have them in the store but can't sell it yet.
 
picked mine up at the cerritos apple. Funny how they were telling people they didn't have them or were unsure, it was all dependent on management whether to release them today or this coming weekend.

Non the less i'm happy.

You are better off going to the store and talking to the manager in person.

He was in a really good mood haha. He said to show him proof that they were already released, I did and he went to the back and pulled one out for me. That's pretty much all I did.

I did the 15", requested to be notified of stock, ordered as soon as notification came in. Pre-orders for 13" may be overflowing the queue; wouldn't think there would be difference in stocking from Apple. Who knows tho...
 
Local Apple store here at 10am said they didn't have them yet but were expecting an overnight shipment. Since they're open another 90 mins I may swing by there in a few mins to see if they came in "early". :)
 
Feel dumb for ordering online yesterday. All the Apple stores in my state have them in stock today. I called Apple to see if I could switch it to a pickup, but they had already shipped the order. Oh well, I guess I will survive waiting until Friday.
 
Thanks for the updates guy! I just got back home from the local Best Buy in Beaverton, OR and picked up the 15" rMBP with the 750m. Got it for educational discount pricing as well.
 
Called Apple Store in Stockholm two hours ago. They still don't have them. :mad::(:eek:

Do the stores usually get both the high and the low-end or just the low-end?
