I think it's more of a gamble with the iPhone due to its obvious aesthetic difference and the fact the single latest iPhone has always been popular. They are watering down the range a bit and I think the perception will be the 7S is the new iPhone, rather than the sole emphasis being on the model Apple probably wish would be the bigger seller.I think it's because they are catering to different people just like they do with the iPad and iPad Pro range, MacBook and MacBook Pro range, iMac and the new iMac Pro later this year, Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Edition, and now the iPhone (7s and 7s Plus) and the iPhone Edition (or whatever they call it).
