How long will Apple be able to charge $999 for the iPhone 8?

I'll believe change when I see it. And by that I mean from CONSUMERS. People are saying "I'll stick with my trusty 6/7" the same phones people said were overpriced at the time.

And they'll be saying the same for the X in a year unless they shop elsewhere.
