Not bad but still nowhere near amazing.

I apologize in the beginning if my picture is too big, I didn't know how to zoom into just the coconut battery stats and istat pro. And if I made the picture any smaller the numbers would be too small to read. Just trying to see if my computer is running okay. Under medium load the cpu temp. rose up to about 66 degrees celcius. It also tends to lag a little, I think it was because i kept my expectations super high. Everyone told me the computer's speed was blazing fast but it does take a moment or 2 to load applications.

Yeeeeep, time for a new battery. Right guys?

I think I need a new adapter too. Sometimes it doesn't charge my battery! If I smack it, it starts working. Wth!

Opinions please?? On getting a new battery and adapter??

:(

I'd say so. 62% is pretty disappointing, especially with only 300 or so cycles. Did you not use your computer a lot or just keep it plugged in?

I am guilty of leaving the adapter plugged in most of the time since I bought it in Aug 08' :(

How do you guys have 90% capacity with over 500 cycles??? I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

:D

i think my computer beats u all :). its 3 years going on 4 years (its a macbook white)

You're only besting me because I'm on my second battery. I can't remember the exact cycle count number of battery #1, but it was around 800. This is an original rev A launch week MacBook.

The whole time i have had my mbp 13" (2.26/ 2009 Had the laptop since November last year, use it on mix of batt power and desktop, am a student so rely on the batt quite a lot) i have never really had 100% batt health. Always more 90-95.

But in the last three months that has gone down to nearer 83-88%

And now after my most recent calibration 'Watts' is saying that my batt health is only 81% after 114 cycles.
Coconut Batt says i have 4443mAh left and that the original capacity was 5450mAh.

Just wondering is this bad, it feels kinda bad considering it's meant to hold 80% for up to 1000 cycles.
Is it the kind of thing i should keep an eye on?

Any advice from anyone?
Much appreciated. :)

1132 cycles

My battery was doing fine, running at 70% after 32 months and about 1130 cycles, I went out of town and left it home turned off for about 10 days, when I came home and turned it back on, the battery reads Health = 0%,
charge = nan% and the computer does not work if not plugged in. Does this mean this battery is done ?

My old 2007 black macbook lasted around 1200 cycles with 85% still left on it.

Funny thing is that I never took any special care of the battery. Just plugged it in whenever I could.

Best way to take care of your battery

Stop worrying about calibrating monthly or keeping track how many times you plug it in.
Just use it. When the battery is running low, charge it. If your laptop is always on your desk plugged in, you should've gotten a desktop.

498 cycles. Coconut claims 90%
