I still don't have my retina mini after ordering it before the crack of dawn on launch day, and already there's a thread on how many times people have returned their's.

yea lol, the struggle is real. uoeno

rMini 1 - Came with a notiable ding on it and was promptly returned
rMini 2 - Screen is inconstant ranging from bright white on the top to soft white on the bottom
rMini 3 - No dings and a nice screen. :)

My retina mini came in today. I spent a while at the Apple store loading up the sort of documents I'd use most often on it, staring at it alongside my old mini and the retina minis on display. I don't claim to be particularly discerning in such matters, but it looked gorgeous to me. So for what it's worth:

Zero returns.

Returned 1 Mini unopened when i found a 32GB wifi in the store. Might return for a 32GB LTE but not sure yet.

I bet a decent amount will be returned because one can get a discount on the Air for BF. Money talks!

Keep the returns coming guys. With new shipments starting to come now there's plenty to go around while searching for a rMini screen that's perfect for you.

I returned one for uneven yellow at the bottom of the screen. Second one looks very good, so I shouldn't have to do another return.

Returned 1 so far (light bleeding at the bottom edge + yellowish tint at the bottom of the screen). My exchange is coming tomorrow.. Hopefully it will be gooood :D I'll inform you tomorrow if it was my first and last exchange :)

My mini is perfect. Apple should ban people from shopping with them who return products excessively for superfluous reasons. They have more customers than products to sell.

Totally agree. It's good that they still do right however for the folks who return multiple times for legit reasons even when there's those who return products excessively for superfluous reasons.

My I ask why you bought a mini if you prefer a larger screen.

Before I bought the iPad Air (64GB), I had an iPad 4 (32GB) and waited since the launch of the first iPad mini to buy a mini with Retina (and have both the 4 and the mini). When I got the Retina mini, I really liked the form factor, it felt nice in my hand and the screen seemed sharp, but when I put it next to the 4, it just didn't look as nice (but the 4 seemed too heavy). I was a bit disappointed in the mini and I also thought that it seemed silly to have 2 iPads. I don't really need the portability, as I mainly use my iPad at home. So I sold my iPad 4 (eBay), returned the mini, bought the Air and I couldn't be happier :D

1 returned for me. I wanted to use mine as a take along photo album but the yellow cast it was giving off was not good, I also noticed while using it in a dark room there was light bleeding at the bottom of the screen. I live in Canada and paid $475.00 tax included for 16gb of screen issues, not acceptable for me so back she went. I would like to try another but don't want to have to go back and return it if the same problems show up. Could they not put a white balance control in the settings to adjust the colors?
