Had an iPod Touch 1st Gen until the iPhone 4 came out, not planning on upgrading any time soon.

iPhone 2G (April 2008) - bought unlocked and fell in love. (Canada didn't sell it)
iPhone 3G (August 2008)
iPhone 3GS (August 2009)
iPhone 4 (August 2010)

and every single time, i made a profit when i upgraded.

could have upgraded to the 4S but it's a pointless upgrade for me.

thanks Rogers

I'm in the majority, one 3G and one 4. Hopefully will upgrade to the next one :)

I've owned all 5 generations. But I would barely count the the original since I only "owned" one so that I could add my unlimited data back onto my account. Quickly flipped it after.

I've even owned multiples of the 4 when i left ATT to go to verizon when I transferred offices. It was a mistake on my part because my verizon data would drop down to "o" while in it despite my coworkers swearing up and down that verizon was better at that location. Went back to ATT. This is when I bought the original iphone off CL to get my unlimited data back.

Even had a 4s for a couple of weeks but returned it because it wasn't much of an upgrade from my 4 for me. I took this opportunity to get a white 4. I had never owned a white one before.

So technically I've had all 5 but for me I really only owned 3 of them for an extended amount of time: 3g, 3gs, and 4

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A406 Safari/7534.48.3)

All 5, multiples of each. 3 first gen, 1 3G, 1 3GS, 3 iPhone 4, and 2 iPhone 4S

Owned every iPhone, all with AT&T. But next iPhone will be with Verizon since AT&T feels they can throttle use unlimited data plan users.

Technically, one of each except the current one; I'm going to skip the 4s.

I did drop my 4, shattering both the front and back glass. Apple store replaced it, gratis. Thank you, Apple. :)

All 5. I haven't owned another phone but the iPhone since 2007.

iPhone in 2007
iPhone 3G
iPhone 3Gs
iPhone 4
iPhone 4s in 2012

I moved from the iPhone to the iPhone 3G just because the original iPhone was getting old, the battery was degrading, and I was tired of 2G.

I moved from the 3G to the 3Gs for the speed increases. iHateLag.

I moved from the 3Gs to the 4 because my home button began to become unresponsive and I shattered the screen.

I moved from the 4 to the 4s two weeks ago, because I spilled coffee on my 4 a couple of months ago, which caused the 4 to give problems with the other end hearing me. (The mic would cut out intermittently).

------

By far the best and longest lasting iPhone I had was the 4, until I ruined it. The 4s' build quality is worse than my old 4.

i get a new phone every time either of my parents or grandparents get an upgrade, i have the 2g (not working well) 3g, and 3gs but im getting a 6th gen new when it comes out

iphone ( All A.T.&T. )
iphone 3g
iphone 3gs
iphone 4
iphone 4s

We have a family plan with 4 phones and so far I have been able to upgrade (MY) phone every time. Other 3 phones upgrade every ( 18-24 months )

I've had 3 - an old iPhone 3G that my dad gave to me, then an iPhone 3GS, and currently an iPhone 4S.

The way I got the 3GS was quite a fluke. I went into the Genius Bar because my 3G was about to die. When they looked in the drawer for a replacement, the only one they had had a jammed SIM tray. So they said, "We'll just go ahead and give you a free upgrade to the iPhone 3GS." I was overjoyed! I mean, what are the chances of that? This was in April of 2011, so I was happy I finally had a device that could run iOS 4 well.

Then I got an iPhone 4S in December of 2011 for my birthday.

I've had an iPhone for almost two years now and will never look back!
