Nope, I don't use the idiot system at all. If I like what you posted or don't like it, I have the balls to tell you.

Honestly, the thought never occurred to me. But now that you mention it....

It's like seeding the tip jar or having customers to get customers...

Oh I'll tell you too. That doesn't mean I won't -1 someone if they say something ignorant.

that's why I do it! Haha. 😀

I mainly do it when someone gives me a [wrongful] thumbs down.

I also do it for this reason. When someone sees a thumbs up (or down) one more should be added to the pot. If there's a bunch of thumbs up/down I add to that pot.

I run around and randomly +1 or -1 posts just to mess with people because this is a really dumb concept. I think it was done to try and limit the number of +1 single posts but it doesn't appear to have worked very well.

Yes, me too in this situation, but of course me being "right" is subjective, and I try to remember that.

Still, it's not hard at times to spot an idiotic DOWN.

I also correct other's posts, for the same reason.

It is almost as bad as liking your own comments on Facebook. We know you like it or you would not have posted it.

I don't know that I've ever actually used this ability before this thread.

I'm amused people care so much. What would be interesting would be to see an overall "+/-" rating, ie how many times each poster gets +'ed or -'ed.

Is this possible? I have no idea 🙂
