I was just wondering how many people carry their iPhone 4/4S around with no case. I have tried a couple of cases on mine and I just find myself throwing them in a drawer after a short time. The design of the phone is just too cool for me to cover it up with a case. How many of you feel the same?

Why does it matter? Do you need reassurance for your decision? Do what you want. It's your phone. I don't use any device without a screen protector. Generally I use a case as well.

Chill out, I was just curious. It was just a fun question.

Sounds like you're the one who needs reassurance.....

I have never used case/cover on any of my phones, ever. And I'm not planning to start now.

If a phone ever needs a case to survive normal use, then I'll switch to a different phone. As clearly, it is a design flaw for what it is supposed to do and too fragile for my needs.

Your iPhone will be fine...

Wow, he was just asking.

Thanks for your input anyway, though.

You forgot one option. I'm not super concerned about the screen, but I want to protect the back where the phone is always being set down. So I got a Lucky Labs skin for the back. No other protection.

I love the design of the iPhone 4, so I generally don't use a case (I do have one for specific situations), but I also understand the people who do use a case right out of the box.

Look, the iPhone is basically a glass sandwich. It has one more piece of glass than any other phone, but the part that you care about is something most smartphones share now, a giant touchscreen. You have to be careful either way, some people feel safer with a case, and that's fine, but others feel confident in their ability to care for the phone by itself. Boils down to preference.

As for screen protectors, I could never stand them. I like the feel of the glass (front and back) on the iPhone, and a screen protector just makes it feel... strange to me.

If it doesn't matter why did you tell us what you use on your phone?

I go rawdog. No protection whatsoever.

Your curiousity could have been sated with minimal effort by checking out the accessories forum, where this question is posed about every 3 hours.

Thanks for the poll! I was curious too. As a newbie iPhone owner I ran out and got a screen protector and case but wanted to know what others were doing, if those things were necessary.

With that said, I love my case and expecially the Power Support HD anti-glare film as the screen doesn't get slimy :), though it does dull the display a bit.
