Naked white iPhone 4 here.

I've gone through countless combinations of cases and screen protectors (and wasted countless dollars on them too !) just to end up throwing them in a box. Had it since launch day and there's not a single scratch anywhere on it.

just purchased elago slim s4 case. wife has it for her iphone 4 and its pretty slim and doesn't add any bulk. won't protect from drops but will help with scratching the back of the phone when i put it on a table

100% naked.

Did use a bumper on my 4 but that scratched the hell out of the antenna band so not doing that again.

With my iPhone 4 I tried a lot of combinations of cases and screen protectors. After 4 months with an invidibleSHIELD I vowed never to use one again simply because the screen feels so much better without it. I settled on a bumper for awhile but with my 4S I've been going naked with it. I'm considering doing AppleCare+ with it as well.

I got an Apple bumper last summer when I bought my iPhone 4 and it stayed on for less than a week. I do like the idea of having more protection, obviously, but it made it much more awkward pulling it out of my pocket (the rubber was quite 'grippy') so I just took it off and put it in a drawer. I've seen lots of friends using various cases and I just couldn't deal with them. That's just me though. Now, well over a year later I just sold my iPhone 4 for a very good price as it was immaculate. I really look after it and I'm always careful not to put it down on surfaces which might scratch it.

Depending on the condom it can be close enough.

Some are close. Still tends to take away from the overall experience though. So by using a case, it's like you're not getting the full effect. :)

Same here. I think the key is just being careful and cognizant of the fact that it's an $800 piece of machinery. I hate hate HATE rubberized cases and pants pockets. Bleck.

Like others, with my iPhone 4, I have gone through countless cases and screen protectors but I never really liked any of them. For the iPhone 4s maybe it's a blessing that there aren't too many cases out yet!! I do keep an otter box commuter for when I am at work, but otherwise, it's naked but I keep it in a Coach cell phone wallet wristlet.

I would love to go naked and if I had a normal desk job I might but since Im on the road all day and putting my phone in and out of my pocket, in and out of the car and using it all day long I have to keep a case on it. I just know I would drop it and smash it otherwise. BTDT with my 3G once. So now I keep a case only but I'm very picky about my cases and even make some of my own (blingy ones ;) ) so it's not so bad.

I bought the grey one off Amazon for $10 and it came today. It definitely doesn't seem too protective but it's ok for now. I tend to use my iPhones with just screen protectors usually so I don't know how long this will stay on. The matte finish on it is really smooth, I expected it to have slight better grip.

edit - Just searched for it on ebay for fun to see they're $20! If you paid that much for this, I feel bad. This thing is worth no more than $1. It's just a tiny, light, piece of flimsy plastic.
