For those of you who gO naked with the phone I highly recommend this http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s2-leather-pouch-case-tan-p29969.htm this was what I use to use with my gs2 before it was sold. It fits nicely, with a hole cut where u can hear your ringtones too. There is also a very thick cloth included. I think the tan color matches white iPhone very well. The only problem is when u try to have it in and listen to music, this could solve by leaving a gap when closing!

....perfect mix of style, protection and lack of bulkiness! fact of the matter is resale value will suffer due to scratches on the back of the phone. This type of case (in my experience) works just as well as an otterbox when absorbing falls and tumbles. Its only real weakness is if/when the phone lands directly on the screen as it will most likely result in shattered glass. Side/back impacts are absorbed surprisingly well.

Bottom line is that usually the survival of the phone is a function of the height it is dropped from and angle in which it lands in. circumstance/luck plays a huge role in my opinion, I'm currently looking for a better deal than squaretrade/APC+ (i'm willing to use a less reputable company to save some cash).

Any suggestions?

I go back and forth between naked and a super thin case.
Regardless, I have a PowerSupport protector on the back and an SPG oleophobic protector on the front. Can't really tell either are there.

I was just wondering how many people carry their iPhone 4/4S around with no case. I have tried a couple of cases on mine and I just find myself throwing them in a drawer after a short time. The design of the phone is just too cool for me to cover it up with a case. How many of you feel the same?

I want to, but the risks outweigh my inherent desire to have it naked.

Screw it - I decided I'm just going to use this. No screen protector, just this.

Now, I just have to decide which color iPhone looks better with the black sleeve.

I've had that one for like 2,5 years now for my 3GS. Perfect sleeve, thin and great quality. I'm def going to get one for the 4S as well.

I just put invishield on my 4S this afternoon like I always have done since my 3G. And now they can wrap the entire phone, protective strips along the antenna. I have used invishield exclusively (since the 3G) and it has never let me down, not a scratch on the phone, dropped several times and I always get top dollar when I sell to upgrade to the new one, not bad for $32 for a full wrap.

That looks really nice. Is it soft inside? So it won't scratch the phone?

Wooow, this looks really great. Thanks!

Now gotta decide on the colour, probably white/beige/copper to go with a white phone. :D

The first couple of days the leather will be really stiff and the iPhone 4/4S will be kind of hard to get out. But after that, the leather loosens up and it goes in and out easily.

Switching back to the Sena Ultraslim when I get the iPhone 4S, but am considering also using a front screen protector (Power Support) as well. Anyone have a problem with this case prying up the corners of a screen protector over time?

I've run into issues with cases like these. If a piece of sand or something coarse gets into it, it will scratch the phone/screen as you put it in or take it out. Just keep that in mind when using this on a regular basis.

Completely naked, no AppleCare. Like a boss. The cost of a case versus the extra money made during reselling for no scratches is a wash. Would rather use the phone the way it was intended and looks/feels the best, nude.

so for those who go naked completely, do you put your iphone on its back? im just scared to mess up the beautiful 8MP camera

I do. No problems yet, knock on wood.

well i had the iphone 4 white and somehow i had massive hairline scratches and have yet to find out how they got there. nothing effected on the pics but it looked bad on the outside. Just sucked

I use just a screen protector now, but I just ordered a few cases. I'll probably give the cases a shot for like a week and end up not using them and just throwing them in a drawer and having them be a waste of money. At least I already acknowledge it.

Haha, did that with my 3GS. I won't make that mistake again. I was in denial the entire time.

Otterbox Commuter here. Gives the phone a little extra grip and had protected it during a few accidental droppings on my hard dorm room floor.
