Most of it is overblown on a site like this. You see the same people starting thread after thread about “issues”. It happens every year. Most people are very happy with their new phones.

I especially like the ones that return 8 phones before finding the perfect one.

I have airpods from launch day and ones purchased 6 months ago.
No problems with the Max or either series 4 watches.

No Bluetooth issues here. I regularly connect my AirPods to my Xs max and my Apple Watch is connected all day.

I've also been having Bluetooth issues with my iPhone XS Max. A few months back I did a reset and restore and it worked great for a while. Lately though, its like the Bluetooth range is about 3 feet. My Series 4 Apple Watch shows disconnected from the phone when I'm a little further away. The iPhone will usually stay connected to my bluetooth speaker at work, even when its in another room, but it causes issues when phone calls come in and switches the audio to the speaker instead of iPhone. Sucks there's no Apple store near me otherwise I'd just go get it replaced. Thinking about doing another reset and restore. Annoying.

You're describing my problem as well. Same symptoms.

AirPods disconnect if I try to activate Siri with the phone in the pocket of my pants

And it started good but became bad a couple of months ago. I noticed it the first time around Jan/Feb this year.

After going back and forth with Apple for a couple months I finally bitched at them enough to get a replacement iPhone XS Max. I won't even bother with all the details on how difficult they were to deal with on this matter. They even sent me to Best Buy since there are an "authorized Apple Service Provider", and after 2 hours of my time there, showing the issue happen to 2 of their techs, Apple still claimed it was software related and wanted to charge me $100 Apple Care fee to replace my phone. Apple claims that since their diagnostic tests show no issues with the Bluetooth radio, that the issue is not hardware related, but software related. That's total ********. I believe there's a bluetooth hardware problem with some of these phones, even though Apple claims it is software related.

My bluetooth issues are now completely gone after getting a new replacement iPhone. Finally fixed. So if any of you others are having this same problem, DO NOT let them tell you to wait for a future software update. They're wasting your time. Tell them they need to have the phone back so they can properly diagnose it, and give you a new phone so you can have a properly working $1000+ iPhone.

Hi guys, I am just confused that my AirPod has very unstable connection to my iPhone XS Max since I got it, but it works perfectly fine on my iPhone X. And also, it has very poor connection to my car. No song can be played completely without interruption. Do you guys also have this problem or just me? I am pretty curious.

I am currently using XS Max and I am facing the same problem, is this a software issue or a hardware one? Do I get my phone replaced?
