I've only had one person be such a douche that I had to ignore them. Almost everyone here has something good to contribute at least every so often.

It's good too see most people haven't ignored anybody, even if they do occasionally find them annoying :) And even if you have blocked one or two people, that's still pretty good :D

none

just because I cannot stand a person or their opinion doesnt mean they cant make a valid point or make me re-assess a topic.
SO I rather read everyones posts , and then make my opinion.

Just one for me.

I have one on my list also. It's not a big deal for me, just an irritation I want to avoid. I come to MR to socialize, not get hot under the collar.. You know?

I've randomly added five of those that have posted in this thread.
lol. A lot of remarks can be passed over if it's just a bad mood; Some members have been snippy, but it passes, 99.9999999% of the time. Your strategy, therefore, is probably more accurate than you realize :D

three, two of which still post regularly. In all cases it was only after the posters got deliberately and personally nasty.

Nobody, I tried it with a few people but couldn't resist looking at the posts anyway. :D

This.

Those of you who can add someone to your ignore list and actually ignore them have great willpower.

To me, the difference between not ignored and ignored is like the difference between a minor fender bender and a major accident with ambulances, firetrucks and a human-sized and shaped lump covered up with a white sheet on the side of the road. If User X annoys me and I haven't ignored them, I'm pretty good at skipping past their posts and not reading it. But the "You have ignored this user, click here to view anyways" message on an ignored user is just begging me to look.

Even if I disagree with a person, I'd still either want to hear what they have to say and prove them wrong. And on the contrary there have been philosophies that I disagreed with before, and was convinced by another poster to their position. There are posts I read here that make me cringe, but I still want to see what people are saying. Like skunk said, there's already enough ignorance in the world already...
