at&t unlimited

I was a 1 gig user, then moved and have been using Netflix, Conan, and Pandora a lot.

That day is coming soon, the carriers are not going to keep the unlimited data plans under VZ and AT&T, not really a big deal on Sprint since it is their only way to attract customers, since their network stinks bad.

T-Mobile will state unlimited 4G for now, but once their LTE is in full swing, I believe that will change, no carrier will offer $30 unlimited data, they make their money on it, especially if there is no more Sub pricing? They will count on the monthly data usage to make profits.

I know and I am preparing for that. I have carried my iPhone 4 everywhere with me. I have been reaching for the iPhone 4 every time I need to use a "smartphone", and training myself to pack everything into the iPhone 4.

I intend to go prepaid dumbphone + iPod Touch (or old iPhone 5 on WiFi) once AT&T yanks unlimited grandfathered plans.

I think there will be better alternatives once the Unlimited Data is gone, you might not have to go this extreme, I will never carry a phone and some sort of PDA thing around ever again, gave that up once I got my Palm Treo 650 way back in the day, around 2005?

I think AT&T might allow users to keep their grandfathered unlimited data plans. They seem to have settled on a new model for "unlimited data" that they allow their MVNO's to use. Limited full speed data which gets throttled once a certain threshold is met. Current unlimited customers are capped at about 5GB on LTE devices so they already have usage under control for those customers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see AT&T itself offer "unlimited" data again someday soon using that model. It takes away a lot of anxiety people have about going over their limit and getting hit with additional charges.

I had AT&T Pay-Go unlimited data since Day 1 of the very first iPhone. But since AT&T prepaid is only 3G and not LTE I dumped AT&T and switched to T-Mobile.

I now have T-Mobile prepaid unlimited data LTE.

Nice have u turned off your wifi? The only time I need wifi is when I'm on a plane.

Still have unlimited on AT&T. I've had it since I jumped into the iPhone world with the 3GS in 2009.

I have Verizon unlimited data, paid full retail for my iPhone 5 and am currently at 38gigs. I am worried about getting throttled though lol

I watched a soccer game via sling player last week and racked up 2GB's of data already on the first week.
Glad I'm on unlimited LTE plan or every GB could have been costing me more money.
Its good to have the freedom of unlimited. Not every months use is the same so its nice to be able to stream radio or video without having to worry about overages.

Are you on Verizon? I am up to 38gigs so far because I have been streaming at* work. Watching videos, etc. I am waiting for the Verizon CEO to call me lol.

Lol So easy to use that amount of data in one month just continue streaming netflix in HD uses around 1GB each hour.

Lol:D
You should be fine. Due to some agreement that they have with the FCC they cannot throttle you or disconnect you so you'd be ok.
I'm with AT&T so theoretically they can throttle me after 5GB per month.

Was on unlimited. But upgraded to 4G on my carrier and now on 6GB a month. Plenty enough for me. I never usually go over 2GB a month.

I was on Verizon unlimited, but moved to their family share plan when we upgraded phones. We haven't changed our usage patterns and haven't approached our monthly allotment yet.

T-mobile unlimited data. Love it so far switched from Verizon . They extorted me into giving my unlimited data up when I got my iPhone 5.

In the US, I only use about 2GB a month at best.

When I'm roaming international… it's fair game.

(In case you didn't realize, it means I have unlimited)

I still have unlimited thanks to using the tips from MR back in 2010 and I'm really glad too. With my iphone 4, I would barely use 1 to 1.5 GB but with the iphone 5 and LTE, I'm up in the 3 to 5 GB range (streaming video is great on LTE!). Actually, everything is much better on LTE. :D

I'm on a Sprint plan with unlimited data, however, it's mostly dog slow 3G. The good news is they are rolling out 4G around my area, and lots of neighboring cities that I am in already have it. I also have a freedompop 4G hotspot device that I can use which gives me a free gig of 4G data per month.

I have Verizon unlimited data on my iPhone & iPad. Glad it's unlimited, but spends are soo slow. During the day it's about 1-3 on the download. I'm not sure I want to be with Verizon much longer.

My wife and I are both unlimited AT&T but our daughter is not. All three of us are now on iPhone 5's and I don't remember ever paying full price.
