Do you really think that you will find this new screen size practical?
And will you love it as much you did to your 4s?
I am afraid from this crazy jump to the new size!
It depends. I'll certainly love the bigger screen and improved quality, but I do have concerns that the bigger screen may not be as easy to travel around with me, compared to the 4S. I've gotten used to just chucking on clothes, putting the phone in my pocket and being on my way. I might have to rethink that now that the phone is a lot larger, as I may own some jeans which lack sufficient space for the phone, or which might be too tight and risks damaging it. I guess we'll just have to see when it arrives!

I've seen a lot of people comment how they were originally nervous about the size, but now couldn't imagine ever going back to a smaller phone, so I think (and hope) it's something we'll get used to. My 4S will always be the special phone, as it was my first ever smartphone, but I'm hopeful that the 6S+ will fill the void and more. :D

Just mention me in a reply about your first impression and the first couple days of usage please. :):)

I use the iPhone 4 as a secondary phone - none reparations at all. The home button is a bit tired and the phone is a bit slow. But as long as it works, I'm happy.

When travelling it's my main phone, I don't want to "drag" my 6 plus around on holidays.

I checked out the 6 plus a few months ago at the apple store and loved the size.

My 4s has been a great phone but looking forward to the big screen and faster processor.

What does make me hesitating is that I dislike big screen, but the new features make me so hungry, so foolish! :p:D

Humans have the ability to adopt to new things. The 6 / 6S size seems big now, but once you'll upgrade it will just take a few days when you will look at your 4S and laugh at how you were doing things on that tiny screen for so long. A Friend of mine upgraded his 4S to a 6 Plus and says he will never go back to even smaller than 5.5 inch. I use my 6 and have absolutely no problem with one handed use, even with a phone case. Based on your profile picture you don't seem like a little kid with child sized hands, so I can guarantee you that a 4.7 inch screen will be perfectly fine for you.

Currently using a 4s right now. Original battery and screen but some tiny chips in the upper corners from dropping it

It works ok. Apps crash on me every so often and the battery can't last half a day if I'm browsing the net or on FB, etc.

I haven't bothered with upgrading the iOS cuz of the limited space on my phone.

I'm looking forward to finally upgrading to the 6S+

^_^ Thanks a lot for your perfect, organized, and convincible reply. Honestly, you are one of those who move my mind easily toward 6s with comfortable, and I really want to take this step for much more better experience. But I need to try this 4.7'' maybe for hours to take my final decision, so next week I will try one of my friend's and see.
Out of this screen size difference, do you think the other differences are neccessary for a daily simple usage (5s-6)?
Thanks again, bro. :)

I'm still using the 32GB 4S that I bought in October 2011, the month the 4S was released. It's been a great phone and I just updated to iOS 9. No issues with the update.

For those who replaced the battery and it didn't help, you need to be aware that most replacement batteries that are sold are used, especially on eBay and even though they say they are new. I replaced the original battery about a year and a half ago, and it was a good one that increased my usage without a recharge until recently. I'm sure that it was used, but at least it was better than what I had.

However, I've gone through four batteries trying to get a good replacement: twice from eBay and twice from Other World Computing. When eBay batteries turned out to have high cycle counts, I was at least able to get a refund. I decided to try a "real" and reputable store, so ordered from OWC. I had the same issue. The first battery had a full cycle count of some 250. They sent a replacement. It was about 145. I just keep a charging cable with me.

Having said that, I am looking to upgrade to the 6s because I want the larger screen. I think the 4.7" screen to be about perfect. My 3.5" 4S gets smaller and smaller as my eyes get older and older!

I'm still using my 4s and i think it is screaming: enough. The screen was cracked 7+ and everytime i change it with cheap chinese LCD for about $15.
i pre-ordered 5, 5s and 6+ but i never did break the seal because every time there was a chance to sell it for a good profit. This time i'm forced to break my habit, but who knows :) .

I am still using 4S with original screen, battery, charger, etc. Aged 1400 days, the battery is at 68.4% capacity and apparently 892 cycles (that seems kinda low, considering I have it almost for 4 years).

Another 4s here, still pretty satisfied despite little annoyances using iOS 6.0.1. Original screen/battery, but a couple months ago the sleep/wake button died and an Apple Store Genius said it would cost hundreds to repair it, so just getting by with the accessibility dot.

I kind of want to upgrade, but the larger size is really impractical for me, jeans pocket, etc. I lost my previous phone when it slipped out of the back pocket of my jeans, so I REALLY don't want that to happen with an iPhone. When I found out the 6s is actually slightly bigger and heavier than its predecessor I knew it's not the phone for me.

Make a smaller/thinner/lighter phone, Apple, and I'll buy it.

I bought my wife a 4s for an anniversary gift three years ago. Last year I got her a 5s and took the 4s for myself. It's still going strong with the original battery and screen, and it's running 8.4 without a hitch. I've considered upgrading, but I really dislike the size of the 6. I expect I'll stick with the 4s until it falls apart. After that, who knows?

I'm still using an iPhone 4 16GB - original screen, battery, everything. It works but I have a few gripes:

- Slow to load apps
- Slow browsing on wifi/3G
- Apps freeze occasionly
- Battery requires charging atleast once during the day and of course overnight
- Sometimes things like taking calls it can freeze and you end up missing the phone call
- Unable to upgrade to a newer iOS (cant even remember which one im on, 6 i think), so unable to download a few apps i want

Just minor things here and there, still very usable (although I am looking at picking up the iPhone 6S to finally upgrade a little!)

Uh, going from a 4 to a 6S isn't a 'little' upgrade. It's a monstrous upgrade. :D

My mom is on the 4S she received second-hand from my dad which is her first smartphone. She is talking like she's going to wait until the iPhone 7 comes out. My wife is on the 5 waiting for that fabled next 4" device or at least a 4.7" with reduced bezels because she hates big phones. So probably the 7 unless they bring out a 4" 6C. As for me I'm going to try the yearly iPhone upgrade program because I have issues. As it is I've already owned every generation except 5S and that was mostly because the 5 was the best iPhone ever, but also because my wife was pregnant and we had just bought our first house with a massive down payment haha.

I'm using a 4S as my current daily driver and it is working fine! I had it on iOS 6 (which I miss...was very fast on iOS 6, loaded web pages quickly too)

Currently on iOS 9 and its still surprisingly smooth. I find its smoother than iOS 8 which is great in terms of function. Safari isn't fun to use on iOS 8/9 however, which is my main gripe (at least not as fast as on iOS 6)

Phone works well, and I hope to downgrade it back to iOS 6 in the future, and use it as either my primary travel phone or my primary second device - since I am currently awaiting a 6S :)

Me and my 3GS are feeling very left out of the conversation. ;-)

Original battery, original screen.

Probably going to upgrade soon, not a fan of the bigger form factor though.

3GS!!! Whoa!!

I have a 3GS kicking around. Its still ticking well and runs pretty fast! Its a tank of a phone.

Probably the most comfortable iPhone to hold was the 3G/3GS design, though I will give the iPhone 6 design a similarly high grade in comfort as well

My iPhone 4 died last year. Apple said it had water damage, even though it has never touched water. Now it just shows the Apple when you plug it in.

My husband is still using his iPhone 4 though. Original battery and screen. I am getting a Rose Gold iPhone Friday. He is getting his at Christmas.
