whats this fan discount you all speak of???

It's a discount you get for becoming a fan of AT&T on Facebook.

Or buying one of their branded aircon systems.

whats this fan discount you all speak of???

FAN discounts are discounts provided by AT&T to (usually) big companies. It ranges on the percentage but I work for AT&T as a contractor (not perm employee) and I get a 19% discount on minutes and text not data. If I was a permanent AT&T employee I would get a 50% discount.

My bill totals about $81 per month:

1100 minutes with no rollover
Unlimited data
Unlimited text

i only pay 25€ for my monthly plan which includes:

1000 mins calling
1000 mms/sms
1100 mb internet
200 mins in land line

$65 bucks for 450 mins (would go less if I could), 200 txt, 200 Mb data.

Used to have unlimited data + 1500 txt for close to around 85 or so bucks but I didn't really need it.

Have 10% fan discount.

I dunno, maybe one of these many threads can help:

My Verizon bill is just as much as my AT&T bill was.

Whoahh, i thought us Canadians got hosed, you Americans don't get much better deals than us. (Better still, but not by much)

But hey, at least you guys are locked in only for 2 years, we have 3 year contracts! :S

1 850 min. Family Plan
2 iPhone 4's
1 Unlimited Family Texts
2 $15 200mb Data Plans
1 FAN Discount
-----------------------
$135/mo. after taxes and discount.

I'm on an AT&T FamilyTalk plan with four lines, three of which are iPhones and one of which is a non-smartphone. Last month's bill, after my FAN discount, was just shy of $210. I might take some family members off their unlimited data since they usually don't even surpass 200MB, and I can also probably kick us down to the lowest minutes plan since we don't use much between nights and weekends minutes, as well as in-network calling. If I push it down, do I lose my accumulated rollover minutes?

AT&T
Unlimited Calling-$70
Unlimited Data-$30
Unlimited Text-$20
Roadside Assistance-$3

After tax my bill is about $145. Works for me because this plan allows me an upgrade every 12 months.

Just so we can all compare, how about everyone posts their carrier and country? I'd love to see how plans in the U.S. stack up against carriers in other countries.

AT&T
2 iPhone 4's
$59.99 for both lines - 550 mins (1400+ rollover mins and counting)
$60 for unlimited data both of us.
$30 for unlimited texts
=$138

Switching over to Google Voice for texting and what not will drop us down by $30. WIN!

Man I am getting hosed based on some of these listed

2 iPhone 4's
Family Talk 1400 *
1 Unlimited Data
1 200mb Data
Unlimited Text

$181.30 after tax

*Trouble is the next plan down is only 700 and we sometimes break that number. I've got like 12,000 roll-over mins with 700-900 per month expiring.

Wow, AT&T/Apple raking in the dough with those pricey plans :p

On Verizon (2 Droid phones)

2 unlimited data
2 unlimited text
1400 Anytime minutes
Free Mobile 2 Mobile (free calling to other Verizon mobile phones)
Family and Friend (up to 10 #'s): that means i can add a non-Verizon number to the list and won't be charged whenever calling that number

All for $139.99

Netherlands; Europe:
Sim-only for an iPhone 4
€ 56 a month for
450 minutes or 900 texts
fair use extra fast internet on the iPhone, with illegal tethering :)
and fair use extra fast internet for my iPad

caller id, voicemail are always free here and you call customer service free via a short number.
Fair use is defined as around 500mb a month, after that the speed drops from 7-somthing-mb to 1mb. No big deal for me.
It's not cheap, but its the best network we have overhere and I never had any problems with slow speeds of bad reach. About once a week it might drop a call when I'm calling while driving.
Bad thing is that minutes are lost after two months, so you can only have 900 minutes at the beginning of each month. maximum.

it seems many think they are paying too much but whose fault is that? :p

im with at&t and tmobile. i pay ~88 bucks on tmobile for one phone, unlimited data, text and whatever number of minutes their lowest plan is, plus phone insurance.

on at&t i pay about ~120 on avg for one phone, unlimited data, text, whatever number of minutes their lowest plan is, plus phone insurance and international texts. the international text adds 10 bucks to my cost but the difference in the bills are more than that. why? tmobile doesnt charge me separately for my data and text.

currently im not paying anything because i have my account suspended.

How in the world do you have it so low? I wish mine was like that.

My wife and I pay a total of $210 a month including taxes. 2100 minutes shared family plan with unlimited text and I have the $30 unlimited iPhone plan while she has the $15 iPhone plan.

I have 700 minutes family plan with iPhone data plan.
