Mine just went down == My wife and I downgraded to a 2gb data per line plan at Patriot and are paying a little over $50 combined. We realized that on our Unlimited plan we were using less than 1gb per month each - the reason is that WiFi is everywhere.

I’m at around $80/mo just one line unlimited whatever. I don’t use hotspot so I don’t know if I even have that but it’s whatever Verizon made me get for the plan even though I don’t use a fraction of what I pay for.
HOWEVER! I live next to 2 rivers and a mountain in a state that’s renowned for being either #2 or #49 in things that are not things to be proud of ranking those stats in (I won’t say which state usually wins out in absolute worst ranking but thanks for keeping us 2nd). Technology and progress are definitely deficit areas for this locale so I’m scared to go with a different carrier and loose coverage. There are already dead zones around here where the phone says SOS. I have a business and I drive around on back roads all day in a car that also doesn’t warrant bragging rights. I dream about prepaid TMobile and CellularOne AARP discounts but I’m scared! Are any of you guys who are getting the bargains living in rural areas in the US? Please let me know!!

I'm in a similar state, in a major metro but get around in very rural areas -- I've had T-Mo, tried Verizon, and stay with Consumer Cellular simply because I almost always have a signal when I'm on backroads, small towns, unincorporated former county seats, etc. I travel a few states over on the regular and never hit dead areas (I range from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia). I think it does help that CC has the same coverage as AT&T postpaid, I never hit any SOS areas. I did used to lose signal on the regular when I was with Mint Mobile for a while (including, most maddeningly, inside the grocery store by my mom's house in a rural area). Testing Verizon on a second sim for a while things were pretty good, but no better than AT&T everywhere I went.

My phone line is free, $0 a month. 15GB LTE/5G High Speed Data / 5 GB of HotSpot / AT&T coverage. I just gotta make 1 call or text a month to keep my service.

I used to pay $50~ for everything unlimited, but during COVID19 I was given a free phone service which I intended to use only as a number no one knows I got for privacy. They kept upgrading my account each year until I got to the cap. I dont use that much data at all.

I eventually canceled my plan with T Mobile and kept the free service since its just myself.

$57 ($45 + fees) Verizon 5G Simplicity Plan.

Its unlimited data (5g uwb), unlimited messages, unlimited talk, 10gb hotspot (after 10gb it slows down) and like all Verizon plans includes Apple/iCloud features.

I randomly got on Verizons webpage and saw the "simplicity plan" and it was similar in some ways better in others than my previous plan and nearly half the cost. While I know its not the best I can do (was looking at Visible) its close enough to a "fair" rate for me and my motivation to save a buck.

I will then top-up $30 for calls and stuff.
The mobile wifi plan is $60 per month.
