Use 300-500 MBA per month on AT&T- 4 years running.

Got ip5 last eve, reset cellular count settings. Just checked, says 30 MB sent, and 840mb received.

This is impossible, as I have been home on wifi all day, with the exception of some errands. I am going to check AT&T in the AM, they better not match or something is wrong.

BTW, I don't stream, watch Netflix etc. just email, SMS, safari etc

Just curious as to how much data your iPhone says you've used so far. Mine seems a little high seeing as how we've only had the phone for 1 day. It's at 2GB already and that's using safari, FB, pandora and some FaceTime. I know FaceTime tends to use a lot but when I had the iPhone 4 and used FT over 3G it still didn't use THAT much. How about everyone else?

One Day Usage: 320 MB.

Been on wifi for about 80% of the time so far but here's my current usage.

Phone: 162mb
Verizon App: 189mb

Makes me wonder if the "data usage" threads and the "dropping wifi thread" are related? My husband has his data turned off and his IP4 is losing wifi every few minutes since he upgraded.

Guys, like I said, Verizon was nowhere near what my phone shows. It's cranking up usage even during wifi, which the carrier isn't seeing. Mine is even showing tethering usage when I have no hotspot turned on, wifi and bluetooth off, then tethering reset itself to zero and then vanished again.

Call Apple and report this, I was the first they had heard. They need multiple accounts so they know where to look and will fix it in an update patch....they just need people to call and let them know.

And this is only for one day with light surfing, email and texting?

Looking at my old iPhone 4 just now it shows 169MB Sent and 1.1GB received, the stats were never reset on the 4.

about 3.2 mb received... lol. Got it last night and been on wifi since besides maybe an hour while i was out driving. tested out LTE while i was driving though, and it is super fast. instant web pages.

Not sure if this is only for iPhone 5, but...

My AT&T useage this am shows 769 MB.

WTF. I'm on wifi, and last eve befor bed I turned off cell data in settings.

Why am I chewing up data on wifi? Also, how is it that using it like I normally do has tripled my data useage in 1 day?

Calling AT&T today. At this rate I will be over 5gb by weds.

I think you'll find AT&T will tell you a much lower number than your phone.

I checked my stats yesterday just now and I maybe used 18mb, my phone was well over 100.

After 24 hours with iPhone 5:

Sent: 81mb
Received: 860mb

iPhone 4 (recent reset):

Sent: 2.6GB
Received: 19.1 GB

guys you'r current data usage will NEVER show up on your carriers website. It takes about 24 hours for data to be posted and by then you've used more. The data reported on the phone is most accurate you need to go by that or get some 3rd party app.
