I get 4 weeks vacation per year, plus 24 hours of personal time and lots of sick time. I think I have about 800 hours of sick time built up.

Not a lot of places allow you to carry over sick time. If you are in the US, you are probably either a teacher or a government worker.

I get 5 sick days / year. The number of days will never go up, does not carry over, and I'm not paid for unused ones. Unfortunately, I will only take a sick day if I'm actually sick so most get unused and lost.

4 weeks vacation ,3 days personal. we have 4 day work schedule . I have friday ,Saturday and Sundays off.

about four weeks, but usually it seems impossible to take them all at one time. It is often divided into two or three parts. :(

Work on setting yourself up for residual income, start a business, buy a few apartment buildings, discover a money making idea - they're everywhere....restoring cars, restoring houses, etc. A lot of people are vulnerable right now and are willing to sell stuff for very cheap, which you can turn around and sell - for instance. I have many other ideas I'm actively working on, but I'm not going to indulge those ideas :)

I'm 24 now, and I figure by the time I'm 27 I'll have enough residual income so I can travel the world all the time....not going too crazy or staying in resorts or anything, but not staying in hostels either. A great website for finding places for extended stay on the cheap is www.airbnb.com they have some pretty cool places, the longer you stay, the less it is per night. In high destination cities around the world you can get a decent condo for under $500 a month. So I figure $3,000+ a month in residual income would get far in the world of travel!

But to answer your question, I currently have a career and I get 2 weeks paid vacation....so I vacation about 2 weeks out of the year. I can't wait to further myself and move on out of corporate crap and answering to people on mundane crap.

Started with one, bought two more, sold all three, purchased five, sold two, down to three and now looking to buy another one.

:D

That's awesome & inspirational! In the grand scheme of things, would you say it's a good source of residual income? A friend of mine has a couple and does pretty well. He lost a lot of tenants and now isn't doing so well, but I know he's on the upswing. If you have a 6-plex, and 2 tenants move out, your income (for that building) just went down by 1/3. I guess it's a variable you have to take into consideration....
