Strange. I wonder what would be causing the reboots on the first generation Apple Watch and Series two Apple Watch. It seems the consensus happens mostly to the Series Two Apple Watch.

Unless you are looking all the time you could not know how many times it rebooted.

So far none of my three AW have ever been "caught" rebooting.

There are days when I would like to "catch" it recording my HR while in exercise mode.

Series 0. No reboots.

Series 2. Always! It rebooted while in bed table mode the other night.

I've removed all 3rd party apps from the watch. Hope this helps.

It's quite strange, open a stock app like messages, watch will freeze, a second later it reboots.

I wonder if it's hardware or software related. My series 2 has done it more than my series 0.

My series 2 definitely has this issue, but it only happens once or twice a month. There doesn't really seem to be a pattern. It happend yesterday when I was looking through my dock, and sometimes just whenever.

Since I stated this thread might e hasn't crashed. 2 days. I'm running the latest software and firmware. I just got my watch and there are no updates available.

Hoping this is sorted in the next WatchOS update. Sounds like its not just a few isolated devices.

My Series 0 rebooted once (to my knowledge) during the second year of daily wear. I was at the gym using a workout app. That Watch was later replaced under Apple Care when the back fell off. The replacement Series 0 has rebooted once (again, to my knowledge) in the four months I've had it. I put the charger on it before bed and it rebooted.

I suspect it depends somewhat on the number of apps installed on the watch, but I could be wrong - I've only got 28 which include the normal notifications/weather etc.

And even though I synced over a 250 song playlist, the AW2 only has around half its 8gb capacity used, aside from the space the OS fills.

I have 12 applications and 4.6 Gb free and mine still crashes but it still hasn't crashed since I started this thread.

I'm a new Apple Watch owner (< 1 week) and I've noticed that my watch crashes and randomly reboots on average once per day. Until now it has happened randomly when using stock apps or responding to a notification or browsing fitness data. I don't have many third party apps installed. Today it happened the first time during a workout but I had hit the dock button during my working to check on my total daily calories during a short break while the workout was still active. This is truly a bad place for a crash to occur because it means I had to delay my workout until the watch came back to life and it takes a while to reboot.

Is one crash/reboot daily about average for this device, or is mine crashing more than usual?

Never

Well, you COULD tell if it has rebooted at all as it takes longer to launch an app the first time after a reboot. It could have rebooted more than once, but as long as your previously started apps start quickly, it's not rebooted.
