iPod touch How often does your Ipod Touch freeze?

Mine has never been jailbroken and it has never froze

My iPod touch literally freezes every 30 seconds or less. It happens no matter what I'm doing, either: checking my e-mail, reading updates on Twitter, using the calculator, or simply clicking on an app. to start using it, only for it to freeze as soon as I touch it.

I bought the touch brand new in April of this year.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening? The iPod touch updates are all up to date, and it's still freezing all the time (no different from before I updated it).

This is driving me crazy =(
