My iBook just turned two so we had cake.

I thought I was the only person who celebrated their Mac's birthday...

Actually, I may share a birthday with my Mac! It was made in the 15th week of 2005.. containing the date April 15!
Wouldn't that be nifty.. having the same "birthday" as my Mac. :D

Yeah, I had a 6-month anniversary party with my PB..
and a 2-month..
OK, the 2-month one was just an excuse to get a really fancy, expensive Apple from Whole Foods.

So what happened at the six month party?

I'm thinking of getting my iBook a stripper when it turns three. I'll take my iPod apart and play some twangy pr0n music.

Bow-bi-danky-danky. Bow-bi-danky-danky. Oohhh baby.

My iBook G4 is exactly 2 years old. Got it fresh off the assembly line back in November 2003. :)

Um, I was stuck at a fundraiser for the symphony, so I text messaged Timmy for 3 hours or so.

but I was thinking of my PB the whole time, I swear!

*is cheating on her PB with her phone*

GASP!

but then, I went home and I showed him a good time... I went over to apple-history.com and left those two alone for a while.

yeah, I'm a lunatic.

My main computer (my PowerBook) is more or less exactly 2 years old. I have a couple of newer Minis running as TV/Media machines. My Gaming PC has just been upgraded.

I'll buy a new PowerBook when Intel based PowerBooks are released.

My iBook G4 is exactly 34 hours old. :D :D

But it seems as the shop had it for some time before I got it.

iMac just over a month old and PB will be a month old in a few more days.

Edited to add a more specific correction now that I've downloaded and used the CoconutIdentityCard with each machine:

The iMac was born in the USA between 8/22 - 8/28 2005 so must've been in the Apple Store's inventory for a little while before I came along on October 14th.

The PB (ordered from Apple Store online as a BTO) was born in Shanghai China between 10/17 - 10/23 2005 and arrived in my household on October 26th.

OTB

My last Mac (that I purchased, used at home) arrived in August '01. I've upgraded the **** out of it, but it's still plugging away..

well my main machine was built in May 2005 in the USA, so only 6 months, but I use my Powermac G4 everyday and it was built in mid 1999 so over 6 years ago, same goes for my iBook. both still running strong!

That little app is cool. I guess my machine has already reached the 4 year mark.

iBook 300mhz Clamshell October 1999, Still use it every day. Only had to replace the battery once & power supply.

G4 733mhz March 2001

G5 D2.7ghz April 2005

Might get a new ibook next year when the intel ones come out;)

It says my Mini was built...here?

The results are bogus, I'm getting USA for machines stamped "made in China" and shipped to me from there. The date codes seem reasonable though.

Built in the USA
Between 01-09-2003 and 07-09-2003

One of the last G4 MDD
Dual 1.25 GHZ

And still running great. I'm sure I'd be amazed at the speed of a new one (Quad), but the computer doesn't bother me at all and I did some heavy editing (with some 26-40 hr renders) at times over the last 2 years....

Unlike a Windows machine... this one's still running great. Only thing different is I'm now on Tiger instead of Jaguar. I skipped panther due to the fact that all the G5s out when I bought mine got it free a month later and I didn't. *Damn :p

I kept my iBook G3 800MHz for almost three years, and then I replaced it with my current iBook G4 just over a month ago. I figure I'll only keep this machine for a couple of years, because the Intel switch will probably result in some impressive performance and price improvements over the next year or two.

My PB is almost 17 months old.

My home PC was purchased in spring of '00, but i upgraded in January of '02. So I consider it 3 years and 10 months old.
