Not sure of the exact age of my Blackbook since I bought it used but I can approximate:

Age: ~54 months
Cycles: 507
Health: 94% (4753mAh)

Pretty damn good for 506 cycles. They're usually really suffering after about 300.

11 months
64 battery cycles
89% capacity 4886/5450 mAh.

I wonder if the battery is bad I've calibrated it a few times and it seems low for the age/cycle count

Uhm.

Mine says it's 24 months old, which is exactly about how long I've had it. It's the aluminum MacBook before it went to the pro line. Got it in February of 2009. I'm on my second battery however (I tend to be rough on batteries with my bad charging/usage habits)

But the funny thing is it says it's at 102% capacity? Haha. And it's 71 cycles.
Hm. It must just be an overachiever.;)

White Macbook: 56 months, 103 cycles. 85% battery.

This machine is semi-retired for business use as a result of my obsession with Macbook Airs, but it still works great as a family machine.

Now my old ibook, 101 months old, and 105 cycles, is on its last legs. Display is fading away and the hard drive sounds like it is about to go. I used to use this old G3 to connect to the LAN at work, but finally stuck it in a desk drawer when more and more software wouldn't work on the machine. Coconut battery shows 96%, but the battery is gone after 50 some minutes.

I think the posts in this thread are quite demonstrative of the capabilities of this basic machine. I've had few other computers that could equal this amount of service.

I've had mine for almost 22 months and so far it has been performing really great. My last PC didn't even make it to 22 months so I am very happy with just that fact. As for specifics, I don't have my computer now ill have to update my post when I get home.

Update: I lost a cell in my battery so I bought a new one (battery that is). Current capacity 102% (5231 mAh) with one load cycle. The screen is beginning to flicker when opening the Macbook but I'm hoping it will make it to the next Macbook update.... or my next one will be a Macbook Air. Four months to five years old. That's pretty good for a laptop.

9 months!

My old one had an unfortunate accident. I was quite happy too get the new 2.4ghz macbook, I didn't even know they'd just come out until my insurance company told me :<

Keep thinking my Blackbook's battery is winding down, as I've only been getting four or so hours of battery every morning. But then those four hours are literally all web browsing (actual research, and not new Macbook Pro "research" ;) ) along with Parallels and Mail open. So decided to open up coconutBattery to have a look, and got a real surprise. Looks like my battery is in much better condition than I thought:

Usually I have either the iPad or iPhone hooked up, or using iMovie or flash, so I guess the battery is always gonna drain fast. How long are they supposed to last ideally?

8 YEARS!

Received it from my wife, xmas, 2003. But back then they called it an iBook. It's a G4 800 mhz with 30 gig hdd. I use it every day and it's still running strong, but OS X stopped supporting it about 4 years ago, so I've missed several felines. Thinking of getting a new one some time this year. Time to catch up, at long last, but how many laptops last this long with every day usage?

2009 uMB 2.4 with 4GB and 500GB

24 months old, battery still at 99%
States I have 441 Charge Cycles on it

Not sure if this is ok or geting worse but I get an average of about 4 hours on a single charge, seems it takes longer to charge it as it gets older.

29 months old on my unibody MacBook. Had my battery replaced because my old one started bulging.

heh.. 6 years.. now the batt is really screwed.. because i have to leave the charger on and the batt is not taking in any thing, so it just show 3% and its stuck there =D iBook!

42 Months

MacBook2,1
42 months old
450 cycles
96% health

I usually get 3-4 hours if I'm just using Word and maybe a little web surfing, 2 hours if I'm watching video. Still going strong, although doubling my battery life makes upgrading after the next Macbook refresh very tempting...
