Stock Safari is in /System/Volumes/Preboot/Cryptexes/App/System/Applications folder. Beta version should be in /Applications/ directory (just guessing)?I didn't realize it replaces Safari.app. Does anyone know how to uninstall the Beta? I cannot find uninstallation instructions of the Apple's web site.
Does it include WebApps? Or that is only available in Sonoma?
One of my banking sites (TD) does not work properly with Safari. The fix is easy for the user, but it's nevertheless annoying.Name a website that doesn’t work with Safari. I use Safari all day long and have yet to run into a website that doesn’t work. Even government websites work these days.
Thank you. The thing is, since the implementation of focus modes, I never used them because I don’t quite get the grasp at it, so I rely on the mute switch; but yeah I should use them.I encourage you to use focus modes to prevent those notifications at 2 AM.
After creating a "profile" I saw the existing tab groups again 😀😀😀.On Ventura installing this you won't be able to see existing tab groups / the tab groups feature in general seems quite buggy

I’m in the U.S. and I know everyone’s use case experience is different but I also have used Safari exclusively for years and years and have never run into issues. In the early years there were surely some website compatibility issues but not in many years. Plus the Apple integration is fantastic, which is the added bonus for me.Name a website that doesn’t work with Safari. I use Safari all day long and have yet to run into a website that doesn’t work. It's been years since I've come across a site that doesn't work in Safari too. I think you'd have to be doing something really whacky and non-standard to make a site not work in Safari these days. I work in web dev and I've not come across a Safari issue with any of our systems for years (although admittedly we don't develop anything too complicated rendering-wise).
It was great, but I had some privacy issue with it. Can't remember exactly what right now. It was something fishy.no issues with AdGuard
You mentioning Firefox reminded me of one thing Safari is terrible at, which is rendering huge files. Admittedly it's a niche use case but an HTML file over something like 10MB will basically leave Safari locked up for ages. These are just what I can think of at the moment. My anecdote to all of this for several years on my 2018 13-inch MBP Safari will generally heat up the hardware enough to spin up the fans even on basic pages like writing this comment and each example listed above often have the fans running at full. Meanwhile I'm writing this response in Firefox and my laptop is almost cool to the touch.
There is a big issue with AdGuard and pretty much all ad blocking extensions on Safari. A while back Apple introduced content blocking API in order to give extensions a way to block content without having access to website itself. Unfortunately due to the fact that Apple done nothing to improve this API since that point, most of websites already work around it. Youtube is the most prominent example here. To combat this, ad blocking extensions usually offer additional module that you can enable to block those more demanding websites. This script is basically injected straight into the website code and has access to everything you do there, and can do pretty much anything. This is very invasive on privacy, while still not offering the functionality of full ad blockers we had few years ago (like blocking tracking scrips from being downloaded).no issues with AdGuard
Klarna. I sign in and it states "having problems". Then I try Chrome and no problem. It's been like that for weeks.Name a website that doesn’t work with Safari. I use Safari all day long and have yet to run into a website that doesn’t work. Even government websites work these days.
Signed up for an account, made a small purchase, no issues at all. So it’s back to you. What have you done to troubleshoot? Cleared cookies? Emptied caches? What? Like most you probably did nothing and assumed the site was not Safari compatible.Klarna. I sign in and it states "having problems". Then I try Chrome and no problem. It's been like that for weeks.
