Like Apple does not have any complexity in their supply chain where it takes weeks to get a new product they now add 18 different size options for watch bands. Why????

It makes sense to me that certain sizes will fit different people differently. The watch itself presses into your wrist, because it has a very rounded bottom.

I don't like the solo loop already. I doubt I would get one. Sometimes I want a more snug fit during a workout. Sometimes I want a really loose one when I'm tired of having a watch on my wrist. Other times I'm just ok with a little snug, other times I'm ok with a little loose.

Can I ask if you guys are reading posts? The amount of condescending people is staggering in these forums. I followed the instructions and got totally wrong sizes. Went to an Apple store had them do the measurements and they got the same answer I did. So what did I do wrong along with the Apple employees? I literally can’t wrap the measuring tool tightly enough around my wrist for it to point to size 5 and that’s the size that fits me. I could probably get away with a size 4. The tool measured 7-8. I also measured with a sowing tape and punched in the numbers and it said 6-7. It’s in no way accurate.

Just really confused what the issue is and why people are being jerks.
Because that’s how Apple apologists roll. There’s a reason Apple users were by in large considered to be stuck up for a long time, and to some extent still are. That reason is folks like that you mentioned.

Wow...what detail!

Right? Editor/Author of Macrumors for 2020 in this article!!

The breadth of detail and time spent herein should make Apple embarrassed. These bands (the non plastic junk) looks really nice but who on earth designed them? what material could not be used to keep the normal tension for a few years?

I'm still waiting for my Apple Watch (It's been delayed), but if the sports band size comparison is right my band is going to be too big! 😭 And I thought I went on the tighter side when using the print chart.

I decided to cancel my braided band order not scheduled to ship until mid-November anyway.

Re-ordered two sizes smaller and still getting it at the same time.

May swing by the Apple store today to see what can be done about the solo band.

And I totally get people making fun of the fact that there even needs to be an article about this, but man, I measured two different ways...very tight in my wrist since I wear my Apple Watch tight...got a size 9...it’s loose.

So, whatevs...I’m sure all of you making comments didn’t even buy one.

It’s not about following instructions, it’s about Apple sending bands that are too big based on the sizes suggested by them.

As thick as the Solo bands are, I think it will take a good bit of time before one looses its elasticity to the point where it affects the watch staying on the wrist properly.

Doesn’t all the paper wasted on this will even create more waste than a normal band?

By the way, who owns a printer nowadays?!

Aside from all the noise, the concept of the loop bands are such a simple and obvious solution. I love these things.

Apple is so stupid. They should have used only the "Sport Band" approach. So simple. So accurate. That was discovered by members not pushed by Apple.

Those S/M band dots don’t line up... View attachment 959696

Then perhaps your band is not authentic? What I did is clasp the band together at my notch. The I laid this whole band on the paper tool. I have to believe all of the Apple Bands of a certain type are consistent. But bands not from Apple or Nike could be an issue.

That's the beauty of these bands: Each time you put your watch on or take it off, you are stressing the elastic fibers of the bands until the fit becomes too loose and features like EKG or pulseoxymetry aren't working properly anymore.

Then you'll have to buy a new band and the old one cannot be used for anything anymore. Hooray for sales!
In a nutshell: This watch band is a dumb idea, do not buy it.

Wouldn't consider this watch band for a second.

lol...at some point you need to take a step back and evaluate if you have way over-engineered a solution in search of a problem...I’ll stick with simple-stupid sport loop 😂

Why would anyone buy one of these when adjustable bands exist? Wrist sizes change.
Why would anyone buy a sport loop or sports band? If a person’s wrist size dramatically changes in a short amount of time, said person has a lot more to be concerned about that the fit of a watch band. And if that occurs, said person can get a different band to fit the current need. It’s not a big deal.

A lot of people in this world think differently than you. It doesn’t make them wrong.

Umm.. It wasn’t his band that he was showing that didn‘t line up. That was the band from the first post, I noticed instantly that they were lined up ”exactly“ as was stated.
