I couldn't install the real app until I deleted the hacked ipad app. So I would delete the ipad app first then install the iphone app.
I find that I can watch 4-5 hours on WiFi and still have battery to spare. I am sure it would be significantly less than 3G, though.

Ive done that but now when I install the official app, it doesnt show up on my screen but the app store says its installed.
Anyone know why?
Did you perhaps hide the original app with Poof/SBSettings and keep only a link to your Netflix queue on your springboard?
Nope. iTunes even says the app is installed but it doesnt show on my springboard. I can see the app in the iTunes App Manager even. I deleted the folder with iFile but still, nothing. Ive rebooted and all that too.
The new Netflix app works on 3G too, no unrestrictor needed. I think you may have a hard time though if all you have is Edge.
I realized iTunes is thinking I still have the iPad app installed. iTunes says it's 10.2mb but the iPhone version is 6.5mb? Weird. Anyone know what to do?
I finally had to install by going to the app store on the phone. iTunes did the same for me, kept saying it was already installed. Once I deleted the app on the phone with WinSCP it would then install from the phone's App Store. I also turned off User Agent Faker. Don't know if that makes a difference though.
Sweet I didn't know it was available on 3G too.... I have edge in most places I would want to use it outside my house....so I'm cool with that...just have edge in the town i live tho
I would delete the iPad App in iTunes and the iPhone App from the Applications folder on your iPhone, sync, and then re-download.
I needed to do several things to get the official Netflix app working. First I tried just removing the iPad app with cyberduck and a respring, then installing the iPhone one. No go. I remembered I hid it with Poof and used a Safari bookmark to access it, so I went and turned that back on then did a respring. Still no go. Cmassa's suggestion of deleting user agent faker ultimately fixed it. Thanks!
You could really have just turned off UAFaker, I imagine. Since it's now a native iPhone App, it expects teh iPhone user agent string.
I kept UA Faker installed but turned off. I think it will come in handy in the future!
