The quickest way to pre-order the iPhone X is to use the Apple Store app on iPhone. Prospective buyers that want any chance of receiving the iPhone X when it launches Friday, November 3 should follow the steps below to be ready.

Note that these steps are for customers paying full price for the iPhone X upfront, and may not apply to those who owe money towards a previously carrier financed device.

What do you do when none of your cards offer Apple Pay? Doesn't your usual credit card info work in the app?

For some reason, this reminded me of...

“Alright Simpson, let’s go over the signals. If I tuck the bill of my cap like so . . .” – C.M. Burns
“Yeah.” – Homer Simpson
“. . . it means the signal is a fake.” – C.M. Burns
“Uh-huh.” – Homer Simpson
“However, I can take that off by dusting my hands thusly.” – C.M. Burns
“Got it.” – Homer Simpson
“If I want you to bunt, I will touch my belt buckle not once, not twice, but thrice.” – C.M. Burns
“Uh-oh, I don’t understand a word he’s saying. Why doesn’t he just let me bat? I wish I was home with a big bag of potato chips. Mmmm, potato chips.” – Homer’s Brain

Make sure to have all your account information up-to-date and billing information. And I would have multiple devices running side-by-side to see which opens first between the application or website.

I'm on the upgrade program.

It doesn't seem like we can add the phone to our favorites.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

That is what I would do if I was ordering.

If you're on the upgrade program it's actually easier. You can go in and get pre-approved for which device you want now. Once it's time to order all you have to do is go back to the app, click a banner at the top (you'll see it once you get pre-approved), confirm your order and you're good to go.

Is it really necessary to force close the app in order to refresh it? Wouldn't it suffice to just swipe back and try again?

Can anyone elaborate on the “pick up in store” option? I have heard you need to select a window of time to pick it up?

This is what I’m wondering as well. Will it refresh if I go back or off the account page and then back?
