Maybe put a case on it, or don't put it in your pocket... these problems with it bending are very preventable. I get annoyed when people blame apple for it bending when they really just gave you a new piece of technology, its the owners fault in all around, not apple's.

Somebody mentioned that you don't need to change anything as it is Apple's fault and I agree.

I'm not going to spend upwards of $800 and then have to change my lifestyle. If I want to put my phone in my pocket, that device better be able to take normal wear and tear.

It's ridiculous to have to change your lifestyle when we're paying so much money.

Let me tell you, I'm putting my non plus in my front pockets and sitting any time I get. The second it gets bent, Apple's getting a call from me and I'll demand a new phone.

I pay my money in order to live my life how I want to live it. If the device I'm paying for is under normal wear and tear, and is actually being an impediment for me I won't accept it.

I disagree Antwan. If I put my phone under extreme circumstances (i.e. back pocket, sitting on it, purposefully bending it) and it gets bent, then yeah it's my fault.

But if I'm using it responsibly and taking logical steps to keep my phone in great condition and it gets bent (like a lot of people are describing here) then it's entirely :apple:'s fault.

A device should be able to take normal wear and tear, and a device shouldn't tell an owner what to do. It should be the other way around.

The biggest negative about aluminum is it's performance under stress. It does not return to form and it will crack. Personally, I love the weight of the iPhone 6 plus and the form factor (thin). I had an iPhone 5 that I put in my back pants pocket one time and the frame bent.... totally my fault. It surprised me but I sat on it and that was dumb.

If you're the "skinny jeans" type, I'd reconsider wear you store it.

Believe or not Apple can make mistakes sometimes ie. the iphone 4 antenna issues from which they issued free bumpers. I didn't spend $500 on a phone I'm not aloud to put in my pocket or have to throw on a bulky case to prevent it from bending like butter in my pocket.

Pocketing a phone is considered normal use. If they in fact are bending from normal use, not sitting on it in your back pocket, then I think Apple will have to take some responsibility

Thanks God for someone with common sense.

As funny as the hipster and skinny jeans bashing is, the report on the front page was a guy carrying his phone in the front pocket of a suit, not sitting on it or wearing tight pants.

How do you know he wasn't wearing a slim fit suite that's trending now?

I've been reading about the 6 Plus bending and I have been debating getting this device, how do you stop it from bending, in your pocket?

Acknowledge the fact that there is an iPhone 6 Plus, its not the matrix where you can think there is no iPhone 6 Plus, if you do, it will bend.

If the phone's pinching you when you sit down, that might be a good time not to keep it in your pocket. Just because something can be shoehorned into a skinny jean pocket doesn't mean that it's actually pocketable for that article of clothing.

Even with a regular fit pair of Levi's, it can sometimes be a tight fit pulling my 5s out of the front pocket when I'm sitting down. A couple of times, the phone did go airbourne when I pulled it out. No problem when standing up, but I can see the 6 Plus being a tight fit even while standing up, and even tighter and not very comfortable when sitting down.

Well after 2 years of usage, my 6 plus did bend slightly with moderate use, and the development of widespread touch disease recently just proved that the 6 plus is bend-able...

it happened to me..had it replaced recently at the tail-end of my applecare.

After I got my iPhone 7 Plus, I inspected my regular 6 closely and it was slightly bent and the screen was poking out a bit near the volume rocker.

However, I gave it a tiny bend back in the opposite direction and it seems to have straightened out.

I'm guessing that I weakened that spot a little bit though so now it's going to bend even more easily than before.
