MLC Is used in all 16GB models, 64GB seem to use both MLC and TLC Im not sure if the 128GB version uses MLC at all
thank God I don't have any issues with my 128gb.

I'm curious, but not 99cents curious nor "install something from a website in Chinese" curious.
I have occasional reboots, like I can't name the last one, on my 64gb, but it isn't an issue. If it was I'd spend the 99 cents....
And I'm with someone else, this seems like an ad for the app.

What's interesting is my retina mini 16 is SLC
Is there any free app that can check the speed?
could you provide a screenshot please?
When I ran the command using SSH + IO kit, it came back bits per cell = 1, which corresponds with SLC. my 6+ 64 is coming back 2, which is MLC.
3, as you might guess, is TLC.
Interesting, i wonder if all iPads are using SLC, thats classed as the most expensive Flash and is often used in enterprise
I don't have another 16 iPad to try, but I've been reading online people's Air2 128's are TLC.
So if that were true then, it's certainly not now.
Well it may be true for 16GB devices only, it seems Apple are tying to cut costs on the bigger storage
Could be, but people are reporting 6/6+ 16 are almost all, if not all, MLC.

my write speed is 155 my read speed is 259 from the iphone doctor app. I have a 64gb silver iphone 6 bought two weeks ago. Any idea what flash memory i have?
Thank you
I see. Only had one instance of the phone rebooting during a phone call and oddly enough the call didn't drop but the went white and rebooted all while talking. It was strange. Other than that no issue. I have AppleCare on my phone as well. Do you think I should cal lapple and get a replacement. Have they even acknowledged this issue. Thanks for any help you can offer
Regardless of TLC or MLC will the average user see speed differences with everyday use?
If you are having your device crash, then that's different and needs addressing.
