Home App in macOS 13.1 does not read the temp and humidity from the applicable HomePods.

iOS 13.3 does read the new sensor info.

It seems quite an oversight to exclude macOS from the new sensor data.

I can get a humidity reading if I ask Siri from my HomePod Mini, but nothing appears in my Home app.

Same.

Home app will not show anything. I've reset my Homepod mini's, restarted them, power cycled, etc. Nothing works for it to show in the Home app.

Did you try force closing the Home app? That worked for me after updating.

Everything works for me as expected. The temp is exactly the same as my thermostat's so no issues so far with accuracy (or my thermostat is incorrect but it matches other temp readings I've done).

I can ask Siri what the temperature is in a particular room and she provides the result.

Ask Siri for the temperature, that will trigger the calibration. Worked for me. Until it calibrates, of course it won't show up
Yes, I tried that and Siri told me she couldn't do that. I had to reset all my HomePod mini and reconnect them to my phone to fix the issue. It's working now.

Siri tells me it's "still setting that up" for me.

I restarted my HomePod Mini’s (four in total, but setup in stereo mode… so two in my living room and two in my bedroom) and they started to report the temperature and humidity pretty much instantly once completely restarted. I also restarted my iPhones, iPad Pro’s, and Macs…made sure all were logged back into before opening the Home App.

You can also ask the HomePod(s) what the temperature or humidity is. Wording will be different for most all of us as we all have different names or rooms that our HomePods are set up in. If the HomePods respond with an answer, you should most definitely be seeing the temperature in the Home app.

For example: I have to say ”Hey Siri, what is the temperature in Shawn‘s Living Room?”

I hope this helps you or anyone else that reads this that is having a bit of an issue. If not, it is a bit of trial and error. Good luck!

Yes, tried that. Phone is at 16.3, both homepod minis are also at 16.3. I can ask them the temp and humidity and they will respond and provide that info but alas nothing in the home app.

I had to update my Mac to 13.2 my HomePod Minis showed the temperature/humidity. I assume you would need to update your iPhone to 16.3 to get it to work with your phone.

I already had temperature/humidity sensors in the rooms that have HomePod Minis and the results are almost the same.

I concur with mine as well, same results of what I've been tracking.

I doubt they will release a widget for the iPhone to show the temperatures/humidity in the Home Screen. They want us to use the Home app.

All working in home app and when I asked for the temperature. Although it would be nice if the temperature that’s given would be specific to the room I’m in. Even if I ask a specific HomePod in a given room it only gives me the average temperature across all the rooms.

Worked out nicely as the room I have OG HomePods in I already have have a sensor. All others rooms have HomePod minis in.

You can use Home Widget for that with other sensors, but I just checked and it doesn’t seem HomePod sensors are accessible as sources in the app yet.

The HomePod mini sensors don’t seem to appear in third party HomeKit apps. Show up in Home, but not in Eve or Home+, so similar to HomeKit supported TVs and SmartSpeakers they are only available in the Apple app.
