Apple is hosting an online streaming event for the public and press on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The company is expected to announce new Macs, and potentially other products during the event, dubbed "Scary Fast." Here's how you can watch it and when, depending where you are in the world.

There are multiple ways to watch the October 30 event, with details listed below. We've also included a useful guide on when the event will take place in your particular time zone.
Holding an event at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time is an unusually late time for Apple, and for most regions and territories east of London it will actually take place on the morning of Tuesday, October 31 -- or Halloween for many. So make sure you don't accidentally miss it because of the odd timing.

Apple Events Website

With the Apple Events website, you can watch the event live on a Mac, iPhone, iPad, PC, or any other device with a web browser. The Apple Events website works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and other main browsers.

Just navigate to www.apple.com/apple-events/ using a web browser at the appropriate time to watch. You can visit the site now to add an event reminder to your calendar.

YouTube

Apple also plans to stream the event live on YouTube, which is perhaps the easiest and most efficient way to watch because the YouTube live stream can be viewed on every platform where YouTube is available, which is pretty much all platforms, from smartphones and tablets to consoles and smart TVs.

Apple has posted a placeholder for the October 30 event on YouTube, and you can visit it now to set an event reminder.

Apple TV App

Apple used to have a dedicated Apple Events app on the Apple TV, but ahead of WWDC 2020, it was folded into the Apple TV app. On event day, there will be a prominent Apple TV app section dedicated to the live stream, which can be watched on any device where the Apple TV app is available.

This includes the Apple TV, iPhones, iPads, and Macs, as well as select smart TVs, streaming devices, and gaming consoles. If you have an Apple TV, the Apple TV app is one of the best ways to watch the event live. Apple hasn't updated the Apple TV app with the new event as of yet, but it should be added soon.

When to Watch the Apple Event

Unlike most Apple events, the company's "Scary Fast" event will take place at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Event times in other time zones are listed below.

Though I live in Australia, I'll be in New York while this event happens. Does anyone know if the 5th Avenue Apple Store would play this live on their big screen, or at least let it play on some of their demo Cinema Displays? Might be fun to view it with a small crowd.

So, if it is all about wicked fast why do all the later ads just use the word thrilling and not wicked fast?

Also, if this is last announcement before the holidays is there something unexpected that will be the “it” gift for the holidays?

I wont be watching it at one minute to midnight in the UK. Also coming here the next day there will be enough posts about what did/didn't happen and how Apple is simultaneously amazing or doomed or run by a bean counter, I'm sure I can glean all I need from a few of those posts tbh.

Is it me or am I not usually hyped for an Apple Event? No iPad, No Airpods, nothing except Macs. and even then only 3 products are going to get launched. Don't think many care about the MBP getting refreshed again, and the iMac seems to remain mostly the same. The event starts at 8 PM for me, the perfect time to watch since it's after the workday.

The Vision Pro, duh 🙄. That’s the perfect and most affordable gift for holidays

Hopefully this time won't become a regular thing. don't want to watch it at 1 in the morning...
In China, the time is always 1am, so be grateful guys
From my experience is that you should try to sleep from 9-12:30 (don't forget to set an alarm). It is hard to fall asleep while knowing that an Apple event is happening in the next few hours, but make a attempt.

I’m not watching it at 1am either, but recorded many hours later. Not bad, then I can skip all the boring parts.

So based on the usual 1PM EST time slot for these things, I’m guessing there’s something special for New Zealand! About time those guys got some attention!

If I can sleep, I will read the headlines on this website instead of watching a pre-recorded advertisement

I'll be watching my Diamondbacks in the World Series, maybe I'll have the Apple Event on in the background on my iPad.

This might be the first Apple event I will miss. I can catch up with news after, but they are doing this event during Hockey/Football time. If they are looking for viewers, having it right in the middle of big sporting events (Not to mention the World Series) seems like a bad idea.

I might try to record it on my VCR as it's on at an unsocial hour. What were AAPL thinking.

MR: I suggest including Mexico City (Central Mexico Time) when doing these posts. It's the largest city in the western hemisphere and a sizable Apple market, I'm sure there are also tons of MR audience here.
Actually, São Paulo is the largest city, even if only by a very slim difference:
  1. São Paulo, Brazil - 21,846,507 people
  2. Mexico City, Mexico - 21,671,908 people

But I agree that Mexico is an important enough market to have a mention in the time schedules 😊
