Super Bowl LIX kicks off today. In the U.S., the game will be streaming for free in upscaled 4K on FOX's ad-supported streaming service Tubi, which is available on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, and many other devices.

This year, the Kansas City Chiefs are facing the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Chiefs are looking to win three consecutive Super Bowl championships, while the Eagles are looking for revenge after losing to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII two years ago, so the stakes are high for both teams.

To watch Super Bowl LIX for free, simply install the Tubi app from the App Store on your Apple device of choice, create a free Tubi account, sign in, and start the stream. FOX's pre-game coverage will begin streaming on Tubi at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, while the Super Bowl show starts at 6 p.m., ahead of a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

No subscription or trial is necessary.

Tubi's stream of Super Bowl LIX will include the Apple Music Halftime Show, featuring hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar. Rest assured that Tubi will also show the same Super Bowl commercials that will air on FOX's cable TV broadcast.

It appears that Apple will have at least one Super Bowl commercial this year. On YouTube, Apple has shared a "big game trailer" for the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Studio, in which Seth Rogen stars as the newly appointed head of an embattled movie studio, Continental Studios. The trailer itself features Johnny Knoxville and Josh Hutcherson.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook, services chief Eddy Cue, and retail chief Deirdre O'Brien have been spotted in the New Orleans area today, ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

Is anyone else not able to register for Tubi? Keeps giving an error on the app and a browser.

Looking forward to watching in 4K--actually 1080p broadcast as 4K. Incredible picture.

Is anyone able to sign in on the Apple TV app with an account set up through Apple? The web sign-in portal doesn’t have a “sign in with Apple” option to follow the activation instructions via web.

I found a Tubi support paging talking about a “sign in with iPhone” selection option, but I haven’t found anything of the sort in the Apple TV app yet.

I read the same help article, and found no "Sign in with Apple" option on the AppleTV app. I ended up deleting my "Sign in with Apple" account that I had created in the iPhone app, and created a new one with "Hide my Email".

One of these days, the Super Bowl will be watchable in 3D VR either 180° or 360° on the AVP. After the fact at first, then live eventually. Wouldn't be totally surprised if apple shoots some content at the game and releases a sample in a couple of weeks time. 🤞

Interesting, so tubi is going to have solid numbers on number of vision pros sold and in use.

What's the catch? There is always a catch...
Videos are shown in a smaller window and you get a popup message "video in full screen in 10,9..." Going to be hilarious knowing people are watching in a small window on apple vision pro.

I’ve been a Chiefs fan since I was a boy in 1993 and learned about how football is played. Then I immediately lived through a 22 year playoff win drought. It was painful in Chiefs Kingdom. We would do so well having 13-3 seasons and bye weeks only to choke like the Bills in the playoffs, usually to John Elway, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. And there were some truly awful 2-14 seasons sprinkled in there too.

These recent years have been magical for all of us in Missouri and Kansas. I will never take it for granted, and even if we lose, it’s all good! I have so much to be thankful for as a fan, and refuse to be like those Patriot fans who used to pout if they didn’t win it all every season.

HOW ‘BOUT THOSE CHIEFS?!??

trying to find out if this will work in the UK to show the US coverage including the ads. Anyone know?

I have downloaded, login but no splash area advertising it. Is this different for anyone viewing in the Us? When searching I just see this….

Newscorp is pushing Tubi as the big "free" (meaning with ads) streaming service. To counter Amazon's Freevee, etc. Note that Tubi is also going to pick up one of WWE's smaller shows.

By getting you to make an account on Tubi they will then use that info to try to sell you on stuff. Eventually they will offer to an "ad-free" version of Tubi for $$.

Tubi app doesn’t download on iPhone 14 Pro Max. Actually no apps download or update whatsoever. New bug introduced in 18.2.1 and persists after multiple restarts and an update to 18.3.

My other device allowed me to download it but then as soon as I launch the Tubi app I get a screen saying “sorry, this device can’t stream Super Bowl LIX”

I guess they just don’t want me to watch it then!
