I want to upgrade my apple iphone 4s from ios v7 to ios v9.0.2 without iTunes.
Why without iTunes?
Because iTunes has an unsolved error during restore :
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4034118?tstart=0
My error # is : 3194 and i followed upper link for bypass.
But that error is still there.
I've downloaded v9.0.2 firmware and it's on my hard disk.
Now how can i totally erase my phone and install new firmware?
I jailbreaked my phone in some years ago and i think that error is related to it.
Please introduce me a tool for full flash & install new firmware or a way for that job.

Thanks in advance

You can't. Apple isn't signing iOS 9.0.2. The only versions you can install are 9.3.1, 9.3.2, and 9.3.3 beta 1.

With a jailbreak downgrade you can also get to 6.1.3 and 8.4.1 but that's a bit more complicated.

If you're having problems with your phone and want to reset you can either erase it (and keep iOS 7) or restore it (and upgrade to iOS 9).

After jumping to v9.3.3 can i back to v9.0.2?
My current ios has many problems.
Which version do you suggest for downgrade after install latest version?
How can i downgrade?

Thanks in advance

Why would you upgrade a 4s from iOS 7 to iOS 9? The difference in speed is massive.

Stay on iOS 7. If you have issues, just do "Erase All Content and Settings" from the Reset menu in Settings.

Hi,
I did that. but it has some problems and sticks on erasing window.
Also my current version has problem with wi-fi and wi-fi icon has been grayed.
Ok, no p for keeping current version. but how can reset it without that menu?
I also tried to restore to current version with no result and same error.

What dos no you don't under stand Apple has stop singing for iOS 9.02 so you can only upgrade to IOS 9.3.1 9.3.2 or 9.3.3 beta 1 you can only role back to iOS 9.3.1 if you don't like the beta. But stay on iOS 7. Don't upgrade past that you will regret it

WiFi issues like that are quite likely hardware related, so even upgrading might not do anything about it. Not much you can do aside from doing the erase from the phone itself (which you say gets stuck), or actually fully restoring and putting on the latest available version for the phone.

It's a hardware failure. Don't update to iOS 9.

It won't fix your wifi.

You need to replace the wifi chip....

My 4S had the same problem...

I once called apple and they told me it's not a real issue, it happend only because my phone was old.

But they lie, my iPod touch 1gen still works like a charm and I also had an iPhone edge before.

You don't have to keep iOS 7 if you don't want to, it may be faster but there are more features/functionality if you update to consider. Furthermore if it does get stuck erasing then you could try a DFU restore with iTunes, which would update you to the latest version of iOS. The disabled Wifi does sound like a hardware issue though. If you can take it to an Apple store they may make you update before repairing or replacing.

Also, you cannot install any versions of iOS that Apple isn't signing on iPhone 4s. The only versions than can potentially be installed on your phone are the ones I mentioned earlier.

Well I searched and it shows up here on Apple's website: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201442 And also on another site: http://www.syncios.com/blog/how-to-fix-itunes-error-3194-while-restoring-or-updating-ios/

I don't know if the instructions in that video will help your phone or not. It's up to you if you want to try it.
