Yeah I didn't mention that although I will spend most of my first day messing with music apps, I know I'll spend time with the settings, organizing my folders and apps, and experimenting with wallpapers. I got the camera connection kit and will be importing photos from my Nikon D90 to edit with iPhoto and use as high res wallpapers.

Go find an iPad 2 user to belittle.

It's a lot of fun, but a bit hard to do since they look so similar.

I made this custom wallpaper so that everyone can see. Will also get it engraved on the back, just so there's no question, won't let those iPad 2 people act like they've got the The New iPad when they don't.

Unpack, inspect, test and set aside for later.

Go out and enjoy the nice weather while doing a century ride with friends.

I'm far too active outdoors to sit around with an iPad on such a beautiful day.

LOL..I like, I like....:D

Watching it install a backup from iCloud probably.

I wouldn't recommend that. I made the mistake of backing up my 3GS on iOS 5 GM before I got my 4S. The 4S took forevvvvvvvvvvver to restore the backup from iCloud. Do yourself a favor and backup your iPad/iPad2 to the computer, and restore from that. Apple servers are going to be insanely busy on Friday.

Thanks for the Funny graphic.

If true on Friday, it certainly won't be the first time we've done a wet century.

Anything to maintain our fitness :D

Manual back ups don't save my iBooks though whoch I manually manage. Anyway around that?

fondling it naked will head out first thing and get some protection

I'm going on a trip to Texas this Thursday. We are spending my wife's birthday on Friday (that's right, launch day of the new iPad) at her Mom's house while we wait for our shipment. We are both getting a new iPad and I am also getting an Apple TV. We will spend 5 days in town and I'll have tons of free time before we head back and College resumes for me.

The number one thing I will be spending my iPad time on will be with music related apps. If you are interested in professional music creation and performance apps on the iPad, check out my thread in the iPad apps forum where I have linked 4-5 really awesome apps.

I am starting a project with an old band mate of mine that is going to be completely recorded, engineered, and performed using our two iPads. So those 5 days will be spent learning my new apps.

What will you spend your time doing on the first day you own your new iPad?

either crags or restoring from my ipad 2.

still stupid thread lol - sorry !

Watching the keynote presentation in 1080p

1) Gaming Mostly! ( that new Infinity Blade Dungeons is gonna be Awesome! )
2) Video & Photos on the High Res Retina Screen
3) Transferring my Data from my iPad 2 to the new iPad
4) Showing it off to my Sister and Making her Jealous....
5) Go to the Apple Store on Launch Day and see if could get a 2nd Device!

Installing Pages, and then going to the library to engage in hours of paper-writing and finals cramming. And enjoying the fact that I won't need to charge it during my time there like my MBP. Yay productivity?

Trying to find pixels. Hopefully failing.

Oh, but many of us will. I was sent three iPad 2s before I got to one without a dead pixel or dust behind the screen. And, of course, I had to wait a while before more were available.

Through all the excitement that should come my way on March 16, I fully expect to be on here moaning.

I will be installing my favorite apps on it and check out the HD Video Recorder and Camera since I never own a iPad 2 before only the first gen, and Check out the Speed of it since it his a Quad Core Processor now :)

I thought it had quad core graphics processing, but exactly the same processor and clock speed as the iPad 2?

Depending on what time it arrives, and how busy/slow Apple's iCloud servers are, I'll likely be spending a while setting my new iPad up by getting all my settings and apps from my Apple account that I've acquired since I started using an iPod Touch back in January 2011.

After setup, I'll probably purchase some new apps, including: iPhoto, GarageBand, Sketchpad, Pages, Numbers, and Machinarium.

Then, I'll probably check out the new features, and tweak it to my liking.
