The different is for real life with tsmc expect 10 to 8 hours battery life, samsung 8 to 6. That is from 0 to 4 more hours of different.

Where are you getting these numbers from? I have Samsung and averaging 11-14 hours depending on what I'm doing and not using low power mode or any other power saving technique.

I read most of the replies in this post, read a lot of posts in this forum, and other reviews, youtube.....

I have too and I haven't seen a difference.

I think the easier to tell an Apple to Apple real life comparison are people who use a phone with chip of one chip, then exchange to get another chip. Almost I see people always report TSMC version has longer battery life than Samsung, we are talking around 10% to 25% kind of different.

Mine is amazing:

I use my 6s the same way I used my old 5s. Granted my 5s was two years old, but I'd have to charge before the end of the day. 6s I have about 50% left and standby life is amazing.

6s+.
1. 7 hours with about 90 hours standby with about 3 percent remaining.
2. 6 hours and 40 mins with about 110 hours standby with no percent remaining.
3. (now) on 49 percent and sitting at almost 4 hours usage with 48 hours standby.

I wasn't too happy with the 2nd one. FYI: it's a TMSC. I only found out by doing the battery drain test and checked the diagnostics log.

nPlayer was the app I used the most for # 1 and 2, but 3 hasn't used it at all. That might explain the better numbers so far, but I've also adjusted a few settings to save battery so that might be helping too...

To be honest I was expecting a little more as I'm used to my phenomenal wifi iPad air that after two years still hits 10-11 hours. It's a beast.

I'd expect the plus to at least hit 10hr sot

Since upgrading to iOS 9.1, my usage and standby started going up at the same rate some at some point on both my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s Plus. I tried killing all the apps, it made no difference.

I restarted my iPad and iPhone. The iPad started sleeping. I have no idea of the iPhone did or not since the battery usage and standby started showing as dashes after rebooting (like it does after a hard reset).

Anyone else seeing this?

Well 8.02 hit the battery but since 9.1 it has dropped 5% in an hour. Was much better than this previously. Bit concerning.

I don't believe it's double, in fairness the majority of this usage is podcasting which sips power. I also didn't run the Samsung in power save mode the entire 100% like I'm doing with the TSMC, so the comparison is not apple/apples. More or less I am testing the battery longevity of my current phone by using power save mode with minimal but typical daily use.. And its rockin so far.

So you have both samsung and TSMC iphone 6s/6s plus at your home? You can do some testing and let's us know the answers. The test can be very simple like you loop through same youtube playlist from 100% to 0%, open record video until battery die, find an app that do repeated work.

This was the best i got so far on 14oct. Pretty much new iPhone 6s+ on that day. But after awhile I can't seem to get that "usage" time now even with moderate use.
