HP to Reenter Tablet Market with Windows 8

I don't think Windows 8 tablets will be super successful (compared to the iPad at least), but I think they might have a better chance than the current non-apple tablets. At the very least, I'm hoping they'll have enough staying power to push the tablet market forward in general, at least to some extent. Competition is good for apple, and even though I doubt windows 8 will make any major competition for iPads, I'm hoping it will make enough substantial competition to for apple to improve the iPad. Not that I dislike it (I love it actually), but there are ways I think it could be greatly improved, and windows 8... might help that happen... ?

Why? Windows is familiar to the average person, unlike WebOS was with the TouchPad.

Windows yes, but Windows 8...not so much. Its a bad move by Microsoft in my opinion. There are plenty of youtube vids showing people both good and bad with technology trying to figure 8 out.

That being said I can't speak on the tablet side of things, but the desktop side is not looking good.
