I think that the iPhone 3.0 OS is ugly and the notification system is obsolete, so I will consider HTC Hero and Palm Pre as an alternative in the near future (this doesn't mean that I don't like iPhone 3GS at all and maybe I will consider one).

I'm planning to get a touch phone in the next month, but I haven't decided wich one I will pick, yet. What do you think?
LOL..... sorry I can't seem to stop laughing. Are you aware that this device apparently only comes with 512MB of internal storage and that apparently, it is not possible to install apps onto the bundled 4GB SD card or any SD card for that matter? If that 512MB of storage is also used to store the bundled apps and OS, how much space is left for third-party apps?

You can pick whatever you want but I already have over 1.5 GB of apps on my 32GB iPhone 3GS.

It's just my opinion about the OS of the iPhone. I think that it needs to be improved, principally when talking about the notification system and the organization of the icons.

Anyway, I didn't knew that Android apps only can be saved to the internal memory, buy maybe there will be a way to copy them to a SD card.

The more I see "iPhone killer" the more I see how Apple killed the smart phone market and did long term damage.

Reason for it is the everyone is trying to get something like the iPhone but the one problem I see with the iPhone is the iPhone is not the best phone for a phone.

I want my cell phone first and for most to be a phone first everything else 2ndary. The iPhone seem to funitoin as a media player and web surfer first phone is 2ndary. While that is great for some people it hurts a lot of people.

Personally I think RiM made the right choice. They seem to of chosen not go after the iPhone head to head but stick at what they are good at and that is a productive business phone which I still think the Blackberry is king at what it is good at. (minus the Storm I have not seen any one call any of RiMs stuff a iPhone killer and even the storm seemed not to go head to head)

Unlike Rim HTC and others seem to be trying to fight the iPhone head to head. This means they are no longer playing the phone first game. It hurts the phones productivity

The market can and will survive multiple devices. .. nothing has to KILL anything

The phone does look pretty sweet, the UI looks to be maturing nicely.
iPhone 3GS has already proven its another solid seller, Palm Pre is doing ok by the looks but has teething troubles... Blackberry are behind and Nokia are struggling with N97 getting poor reviews too

Competition=innovation = better devices from whoever you want to get it

Just about everyone hates the messed up "thing" at the bottom, including me. Here's a better alternative that also runs Android, but it's only going to be in China.
