why is it wrong? Huawei has more resellers / partners/ services centres all over asia (and even Europe). In certain big cities there are more of them than all apple stores add together Same with Oppo.
Apple has hundreds (if not thousands) of resellers and has opened hundreds of their own stores around the world. I do not think this is a debatable fact. Many of these stores are even considered “iconic”.
Which previous models are you talking about. These companies the cycle is like 6 months. I had the Mate 8 for a short while and battery life was excellent. Same with my oppo r9. Raw cpu power is irrelevant most of the time. I have phones using Qualcomm 61x 65x and 835 chipset and in normal use, you'll hard-pressed to detect much difference between them or even iphone.
Actually, I do not recall specifically what model had what issues. They are not very popular where I live. The point is Huawei had made some questionable design choices (such as low quality displays) but overall has been improving. I do respect the mechanical engineering.
Never optimized in what way? Android itself supports concurrent/co-operative multi-tasking. iOS doesnt. iOS behaves like MS-DOS whereas Android is more akin to Windows. Android is more taxing on hardware. While you need to manually open app one after another, I can automate all these routine tasks in Android while leaving time for me to do more essential tasks.
In some ways you are right, Android is like Windows. Windows can run on just about any hardware but that also introduces a lack of optimization. It costs overhead. That is one reason why Windows will choke when running on limited resources while a macOS computer does not. Likewise, adding novel hardware features is very difficult in Android because the hardware manufacturers do not make the OS. Because of this, features that require OS and hardware integration will always lag behind in Android devices. Android is taxing on hardware out of necessity not strictly by choice.
As far as UI multitasking goes, you might be right. However, iOS is running on UNIX and is capable (and does) multitask just fine. Not sure how much demand there is for multitasking on a phone.
My oppo with 8Gb of RAM, with OLED screen is half the price of iphone 7+. And why should Huawei re-invent the wheel when Android is so well established.
I am suggesting that if Huawei wanted to distinguish itself, making their own OS would mean they are competing less with other Android manufacturers, allow true vertical integration from hardware to OS to features... the whole ecosystem. Otherwise, they are as vulnerable to the next Chinese Android “iphone” killer as the last several that have come and gone. Again the problem is profit margin has to be too narrow to compete AND develop.
I am not sure what you mean by resell value? If 7+ resells for 1/2 price after 2 years and Huawei lost 90% all its value the fact that you bought Huawei at 1/2 price already make you gained over iphone. And dont ridiculous to say that it is worth to pay double the price for Iphone because it is more functional/advanced - because it just ISNT.
Don't get confused. I said there is a reason resell value of iPhones is high while Android is not. I did not say iPhones are better or magical. I simply noted a quantifiable fact. It might have something to do with a whole litany of factors but the fact remains, iPhones hold their value far better.
Last note, I wrote this entire thing while watching Picture in Picture Netflix, writing notes/email, and browsing internet on a five year old iPad. A five year old Android device would have crashed hard.
