any chance you own an iPhone with a notch? just wondering. Frankly I think the hole punch would annoy me more, but the notch doesn't bother me. Its like a divider between useful info to the right and left. a hole is just a hole.
Typical iSheep Reply. That hole is barely noticeable in the second picture in the article.

This. a thousand times !!!

Wake me up when you can buy a smartphone WITHOUT a stupid camera taking pictures of me. I'm the last thing I would want to take a picture of.
I'm trying my best to remember when I used the "selfie-cam" the last time, and I fail, miserably. It must be years ago. I think I remember using it when I was in Australia in 2008 with my then gf.

And another iPhone XR killer at almost half the price. With OLED, 128 gb memory and more... I’m curious what the price would be if it came with Apple logo
The V20 has an LCD screen.
But it's at least 1080p+

The price is around 500$ which is not bad and it will decrease in time for sure.

The notch stood out to me more than I thought it would, for about all of a week. This hole punch will be the same. Every design that comes out people say "I don't like it, it would bother me too much" and then when people use the device for any length of time where they stop looking for the design features, it becomes a non issue. As a previous comment said, this is just the middle ground. We have went from iPhone 8 Plus with a top bezel over 10mm, to having hole punched out of the screen for the camera in the space of 2 years. In 2-3 years time, we will have truly full screen handsets, and we will look back and be respectful of all the different methods used to get us there.

Why do they talk about phones that are not for sale in the US?
There is a whole world outside the borders of the US, Earth, and the companies that do business on it, does not start in California and end in New York.

I'll take the hole punch and small bottom chin over the notch any day.

Question - do you actually have a notch on your phone, or are you complaining from afar? Because all the noise about the notch is meaningless. Like many others will tell you, you don't even notice it. It does not get in the way or stick out like a sore thumb. This is the truth.

But then again, I do recall having trouble watching movies in letterbox several years ago. Now it doesn't bother me at all, so I guess it's just about adapting.

Hello from Canada. I'm genuinely curious why you felt the need to ask this question, but I think I already know the answer.

We live in a global marketplace. Without non-US countries contributing their talent, knowledge and resources, we would not have the Apple that we have today.

Looks better than the iPhone.

Marketing does wonders. Don't forget it's Android.

Really? You're not using any form of video chat? Buy a feature phone then! :D

Chuckles. Barely. Typical blacksheep reply. The notch likewise fades from concern for 99% who use it.

The fact that several posts on this thread keep comparing this to iPhones is, in reality, a great compliment to Huawei.

The fact is that this fringe phone (it is a sort of phone for specs fanatics as every number is as high as possible without having stuff like an OLED screen) costs 2/3 of a base XR and less than half of a base XS in Europe. And at the same time it is a quite expensive phone.

The same can be said about the hold and bezels. They are mostly bothersome when not actually engaged in the use of the device. Most quickly adapt and filter out what is a glaringly annoying design and focus on using the device.

That's my experience with screens having wide bezels. When looking at the device without engaging it, it's awful. Once I start using the device, it is filtered out.

looks weird offcenter, but still kinda cool.

oneplus did it best with the centered waterdrop notch.
