No thanks. Bigger battery in such a small package increases the risk of battery issues.

I have the mate 9.

similar design to the 10.

I dont care what rear of phone looks like anyway, it's in case 24/7.

my mate 9 can give almost 3 days use if i dont play boom beach or clash of clans!
I'd like the mate 10 but my contract not out yet for a while!

I use my rear fingerprint scanner to scroll through my photos (swipe finger left or right) and to drag down top bar for quick toggles of 3g/wifi/gps/etc.

My iPhone 8 battery already lasts all day on a single charge. Then again, I don’t spend all day looking at it.

Whatever. I think the iPhone 8 is the best iPhone yet. Amazing update for someone steping up from a 6 or 6s. Way better processor then the 7. I always update at the Tock and the 7 was the Tick. iPhone X is another Tick cycle product as I’m waiting for next years Tock version of the X. This year I’ll let the guinea pigs (early adopters) help apple hammer out the design bugs. I’m going to wait patiently for the the real polished iPhone X next year.

Im not sure where your buying your stuff but you could probably buy a charger and cable from Anker or Aukey for under $20 on Amazon. I’ve just bought some Tronsmart lightning cables on amazon and they are the beat yet. Better than Anker and they make nice ones too.
The 8’s are the worst phones Apple has ever released. It was just a filler update for people waiting for Their upgrade cycle and didn’t want to spend a grand and two more months waiting for an x.
The s models have never been intriguing to me. Me being 3g-4-5-6+ And up. Some s models are decent upgrades but never feels like it’s worth it to me.
So I guess I’m a guinea that has had no problems with new hardware phones over the last 9 years. Always felt like the s model guys where the more jealous of the bunch when a new hardware model comes out and they are on a two year upgrade plan.

Do Android users typically not use phone cases?

I would think an open cut-outs in the back for the fingerprint sensor and camera would look pretty hideous.

You're kidding me?
The iPhone one is a travesty. These look like a nice pair of tweeters.
Haha. The iPhone hump might not be a looker but is nicely housed at least. This just looks like the designer spent a couple of mins mocking up a dual camera system in photoshop and the design was green lit

What increased risk? Huawei has some of the best battery tech there is and the Mate 10 will have the same power as the Mate 9.

It will also run the latest Supercharge version.

I do not use the super charger for my mate 9, it still in box.
I just use samsung 2.0A note 3 charger with a 3rd party longer lead.

Still charges really fast
from 38% to 80% (or more) in hour and half while using wifi for last half hour of that hour and half on charge, first hour idle.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, as they say :D

I personally like the design of the Mate 10 Pro and particularly the leaked Porsche Design versions, which look stunning. I'm really tempted by the red one.

The Mate 9 was very nice, sombre, slick and businesses-like. With minimal bezels, the 10 will probably be quite a looker.

In contrast, I really dislike the effeminate, fashion object look of the iPhone and their huge bezels. The notch on the X is also hideous. In my opinion.

Geekbench benchmarks would disagree with you. The s models were and is always the better buy from sheer performance. If bling and latest features/form factor is important then go ahead and buy. Phones are a tool and I don’t wrap my ego around overpriced new stylish products. I try to buy older proven high quality products. I think nearly $5k for a MacBook Pro and $1.5k for an iPhone X Pro is getting into crazy land.

No I didn't. The last iPhone I had was 6S. I didn't pick 7 nor 8
If you think all four 6-8 phones were identical you clearly aren’t aware of what the phones actually are.

Just because they’re a brick shape doesn’t mean they’re the same. Smh ignorance.

"#ThatFeeling when your battery lasts all day on a single charge".

I’ve had that, comfortably, on my iPhone for years...

You can have that on anything as long as you don't actually use it for anything. I've yet to see an Apple device that survives through a normal work day without needing to recharge. That battery might actually be able to pull it off instead of the miniature battery they put on 8 and X.

1. You can look at an iPhone and tell it’s an iPhone. Were the aesthetics the best? Not to everyone, but it was distinguishable. You didn’t look at an iPhone and call it a Galaxy. I look at an android phone and call it an android phone because I have no idea if it is a Samsung, LG, etc.

2. If your iPhone was dying before noon you truly need to rearrange some priorities in life. There is life outside of a screen. Assuming you were awake every morning at 5 to get around for work; and then spent the rest of your day hiding in your office gaming. Then I can see it dying by noon.

I am on my phone all the time as well. From 8AM - 8PM I am making work calls, checking my CRM, prospecting LinkedIn, checking my accounts social accounts, etc. my iPhone doesn’t hit the charger until about 9PM. The battery is in the yellow, but never have I had it die on me.

Your just phoning wrong.

I couldn’t AGREE with you more! If you commonly/daily need to recharge your phone mid-day, then you might wanna re-think life, maybe, JUST MAYBE put your phone down for a few hours.! There’s a great big world out there, go explore!

Uhm.... where’s the truth in all these lies?

Point me to a USB-C fast charger for $20? I'll buy 100 of them.

You are true Apple believer. "You're living wrong!" :D

Only an idiot buys a smartphone and uses it to make two phone calls a day. Save your money for something you actually use?

It would depend on the case. But that's always the case anyway (no pun intended).

My current case looks perfectly ok even with camera, flash and fingerprint sensor accesible.

I, too, like to judge how other people live their lives.

Oh wait, no, I don't.
