Some will get excited about the battery. The truth is Apple has TONS of data around battery usage. For the average user (read: +95%) the current battery is just fine for making it through the day. Yes, there will always be special use-cases but Apple designs for the average user.

It's like complaining that a high-end Mercedes does most everything but is missing a couple features. It fits the needs of most just fine and that's the point. There will never be a single product that covers everything every user could possibly want.

The iPhone 8 Plus performs slower in real world benchmarks and has a dimmer display compared to iPhone 7 Plus.

I doubt Apple would use these tricks unless battery life was a concern. Battery life is very important for a lot of people.

This is case on my mate 9, plus also had exact same one on my iphone 6s+ and almost every other phone I have had.

If efficiency isn't going to improve, batteries of this size and bigger should be standard.
There was a great deal of talk about efficiency at the Kirin 970 presentation. It's made with the 10nm process too, so less power. The Mate 10 will probably give most people two days of use. I nearly get that out of my P9, I am almost always at over 50% battery in the evening when I plug it in.

I do not use the super charger for my mate 9, it still in box.
I just use samsung 2.0A note 3 charger with a 3rd party longer lead.

Still charges really fast
from 38% to 80% (or more) in hour and half while using wifi for last half hour of that hour and half on charge, first hour idle.

The great thing about the design is that you can be sure that the phone will take just about any charger and adapt to it.

I would try the fast charger and original cable just for fun to see if there is any improvement on your results even if you prefer your current setup.

That dislay looks huge. I don't have any experience with Huwaei, but I would like to have hands on with this device.
They are well built phones and you should try one. I’m still on iPhone till it dies but will definitely consider other brands. Lots of my friends already on huawei here. Especially because you can get so much more bang for the buck. iPhone is getting to expensive here and that’s sad because it’s not competitive anymore.

Haha. The iPhone hump might not be a looker but is nicely housed at least. This just looks like the designer spent a couple of mins mocking up a dual camera system in photoshop and the design was green lit
We'll have to agree to disagree. At least this one also has some symmetry about it.

I would But I use same plug to charge other devices.
Not sure they would like the 9v the fast charger throws out as they designed for 5v only!

Weekend bought a mains to usb that has 4 outputs with 2.4A per port if use 2 ports and 1.2A per port if use all four.
Was £10 at asda
