There WILL be a lot of pushback, and Apple will lose some loyal following if they put Huawei SPYWARE in their phones!

It's pretty cheeky of Huawei to say this. Don't think there's a chance Apple would do it.

On the other side of the coin Apple partnered with Goldman Sachs a true player in the financial crisis - so who knows. That said I wouldn't buy a phone with Huawei tech in it.

Help me understand...
Of course Huawei would be open to Apple buying their chips! I hate to drag in politics, but we might as well hand over our country’s privacy to China if that happens.
how this would affect privacy...
Not. Gonna. Happen.

The Feds won't allow it, and even Apple will say no, because privacy.
in any greater capacity than it's already affected by the myriad Chinese vendors and contract manufacturers Apple already employs. I mean, I get the sentiment and on the surface it seems semi-logical. Realistically, Huawei is a known entity already under a ton of scrutiny. If a company was going to invade your privacy through Apple devices, chances are you've never heard of the company.
Apple wouldn't do it anyway. Privacy wouldn't be the hold up though, reputation would. Huawei's got a sketchy rep in the US. Apple wouldn't want to go anywhere near that.

I'm not a fan of Huawei but... why everybody is so hateful about Huawei just because US government doesn't like it? Is there any evidence of Huawei spying on their customers?

Looks like we already have reasons for why next years iPhone will be in short supply on launch day.

If that deal went forward, that would be the day Apple loses my trust; and therefore, my money.

Given that not a single shred of evidence of backdoors in Huawei equipment has yet been put forth - despite multiple agencies in the world looking into it, I see the US's "warnings" as nothing more than an economic/political device to bring China to heel.

And it's a bit more than ironic that the only government who's been found to have installed backdoors in hardware was...drumroll please....the US.

HaHaHaHa! Apple is in no hurry to adopt controversial 5G technology for good reasons. Having incompetent and state-sponsored/infested Huawei dangle their 5G surveillanceware in front to Apple's noses only induces sustained laughter. Let's hope every country and company is as wise as Apple in avoiding Huawei techno-trash.

This makes me thing about that wolf in a sheep's skin, "open the door Apple and let me in."

Lol... while the world is absolutely suspect of Huawei’s credibility In the security realm ... they want to sell to the The Biggest Ani-Huawei brand, Apple ...lol

I call BS. Tim Apple (lol) has done a good job steering (lobbying) the Trump administration to their advantage for that to happen. Tim wouldn’t risk it. Not to mention Apple is the poster child of Privacy in the tech world. Whether or not allegations against Huawei are true, they wouldn’t risk the bad publicity.

Informative Reading: For those unaware of Huawei's actual reputation within the computing community, here are some informative links for your reading pleasure. The general message is that Huawei is either incompetent or is a plagiarizing company perpetrating deliberate back-doors into its products. Regarding Huawei, you are incorrect. I back up that statement with several links I've posted below...

And why do you think we'd be foolish enough to buy any Apple device with a Huawei chip in it?
We wouldn't.
Apple would be dead to me if they did this.
People all over the World buy Huawei phones (obviously, with Huawei chips in them). Why would they hesitate to buy Apple phone with Huawei chip?

I couldnt use them. I’m ethically bound to use decent security practices. For this reason we aren’t allowed to use certain software and certain devices. Others are in the same boat, because once a government has said “Huawei might be a security threat” and you decide to use their devices, if something bad happens you have no defense. They told you.

Excellent point regarding proven deliberately deceitful Goldman Sachs. In 2007 were at the forefront of the mortgage scandal that ruined the world economy. Their involvement with the Apple Card killed my interest. The thought that Apple would fall so low as to integrate Huawei surveillanceware into their iOS devices is appalling. Apple clearly has bad taste in bankers. But I can't imagine they'd be stupid enough to fall for Huawei rubbish.
