This is what happens when you have a company that’s still trying to push the envelope. Not one that’s laser focused on removing as much as possible from the 1000 dollar box you just bought
Nothing foldable can fit in my jeans pocket or back pocket. I know it from experience.
I DO want a foldable iPhone! It would be awesome!Does anyone actually want foldable devices? Innovation is still great either way though...
Whose making the big money? The company that's removing as much as possible or the company selling unaffordable/overpriced tech? When generalization can be applied to the hundreds of millions of customers buying said company's products? This is what happens when you have a company that’s still trying to push the envelope. 5D if you count the Twilight Zone. Once the kinks get worked out, I'm sure foldable phones are going to take off. I just don't want an android foldable. We live in a 3D world, well 4D actually if you include Time as a dimension, ... showing only 2 dimensions isn't a good rebuttal.
folding iPhone with type c with an sd slot for expandable storage would easily be a $2500 phone and I would be extremely tempted ...but yes I'm on an iPhone x waiting for a foldI DO want a foldable iPhone! It would be awesome!
Just imagine to have a big massive screen in a such compact device that fit in the palm of your hand. Would be simply great!
I want it NOW!
Still has a crease down the middle of the display, still garbage, apple will show all these foldable amateurs how it's done. That’s what we call - a bit of innovation - a wonderful device!
Rollable smartphones are the way to go
I think it would fit better to Apple devices
Dont get me wrong, Z Fold for example or Z Flip are pretty sleek foldable phones but it doesnt sound as Apple compliant
Rollable phones have wow effect when the screen is stretching
Hmm what would Apple do with this?
Interesting...

How do they protect against ingress of very small particles at the edge where the display rolls into the backside of the phone? Looks nice. Hope they develop flexible gorill glassRollable smartphones are the way to go

I dunno. Would non-Google not be considered a net benefit? At any rate, the Mate X2 will launch without support for Google's apps or services, which is likely to limit its appeal outside of China.
Not really, most of apps need or include Google servicesI dunno. Would non-Google not be considered a net benefit?
According to the writeup there is some newer technology that minimizes the crease and screen damage.
Maybe this is why Apple has been exploring hoping on the foldable bandwagon.
So it’s a thick phone and tiny tablet….
